I've been lucky enough to get previews of #TheLastOfUs from @HBO and oh my life it is PHENOMENAL. I'm such a huge lover of the games, so I was nervous to see it, but the show is beautiful and tense, while staying true to the source. Plus Pedro Pascal is an incredible force.

Loving the reviews, but is it common for HBO to release the full season to build buzz? I thought normally they drop like 4 episodes to the media. I'd be concerned for the spoilers to start flowing with everyone seeing the entire season before the public even gets to see the first episode.

Like everyone here, I wanted to play them both again so I loaded the 1st on the PS5. The graphics are great, but I have had a hard time with the water rendering the right way and looking correct. In some parts of the game it has made it hard to play.

Think I'll run through the PS5 TLoU again after the series concludes. These reviews are exciting. Thanks TC

I just wish I could pause time and play them both through before the premiere.

If you're really considering it, just play as much of the first game as you can. It's not particularly long and there is no way they get all the way through the first game in season 1 anyway.

just put it on easy mode and blast through it if just want the story….play it on the next level up for just a little bit of challenge….

You could get through it (or at least stay ahead of the episodes) by playing casually if you start now…..you won't regret it

Sorry. I should have said that I've played them both before. Just want to replay for the fun of it. The show make me nostalgic for their greatness.

How does one get to be a reviewer? I don't use twitter, but I can start tweeting out reactions if it gets me the whole season early.

Really sad it isn't a binge drop. There is nothing new/major on right now and I don't give a rat's ass about the live Twitter reactions to each episode. Appointment viewing of tv shows hasn't truly been thing since the early 2000's. It'd be awesome if I could just binge the next episode after watching the previous one instead of waiting a whole ******* week. And then we could all just skip straight to discussing the epicness of the whole season!

Have you tried messing the the tv settings? The graphics are a little dated on the PS4, but the story is still the best thing. I'm sure I've missed some items, I forgot you always need to have a shiv in the inventory since there's some doors you can't get into w/out one, and those generally have a large cache of items. It's not a difficult game by any means, especially the first one. Only part I got stuck on for a little while was when I was in the basement of the flooded building, once you turn on the generator all the different zombies show up due to the noise and I was low on ammo.

I have played it multiple times on the 4 and can go back to it. Just letting them know that when using the 4 version on the 5 it may not be the best.

Serious question. Where were you when the Red Wedding happened? Because Twitter was on absolute fire that night.

Ah, if I had a PS5 I'd just buy the remastered version for it. I've already played the PS3 and PS4 versions, no harm in also having the PS5.

I don't do Twitter, so problem solved. Not saying that in a condescending way. I'm just old (46) and never felt the need to jump into social media.

As far as GOT stuff, I'm a book reader and discussed it with fellow bookreaders, so its not like any of us were caught by surprise when that happened.

For me tv show discussions boil down to a close friend who I share a lot of similar viewing interests with, possibly my wife if she's into the show, maybe a collegue or two at work, and you fabulous people here on Texags. And I don't feel the need to dissect each episode as they happen. My need to instantly watch the next episode of a show (especially when there's a cliffhanger) completely overrides that. I'm totally fine watching an entire season then jumping on here to discuss. Different strokes for different folks, I know, so I don't blame anyone for wanting weekly releases. I just hate the wait.

Gah. Saw a commercial for it tonight. Absolutely loved the 1st game. Haven't played the 2nd. Don't have HBO Max. Maybe I'll buy 2, play it and then get HBO Max.
