While I was really hoping for Christopher Nolan to win best director, I am really happy that Gary Oldman won for best actor. I'm not sure his was the best performance this year, but he has been such a fantastic actor for so long.

They changed up the presenters this year. Previous years would have the last year's winners of Best Actor and Best Actress to present the opposite awards the next year. Emma Stone is now presenting Best Director and Casey Affleck is nowhere to be found.

5'3" vs 5'8" per Google but JLaw is probably in heels and Jodie in flats since she's on crutches.

Ya'll this is the same academy that thought Crash was the best picture. Look back in 5-10 years and see which movie is still relevant. I haven't seen it, but I have a hard time believing that's going to be Shape of Water. Still love Guillermo tho, so I'm happy for him.
Thanks for yalls updates. This was the first Oscars in probably over a decade I haven't watched. For whatever reason I just didn't give a ***** That makes me a bit sad but I've been re watching Deadwood instead so not too upset.
Glad for some of the winners. Think some others were predictably Hollywood unfortunately, but that's the case every year.
