I think Dunkirk was the best movie of 2017, but I don't think it's going to win. Which is really disappointing.
In fact, because of the way the balloting is set up, I bet it got a ton of second and third place ballots. I am starting to like its chances.

2017 was a tough year to rank but I still think it was the best theater experience I had in 2017 no doubt.

Pretty sure Baby Driver was the favorite for editing.
Best theatre experience I've had in a while. I just think it was a hell of a cinematic achievement in all aspects.

I actually think I Tanya might have been the best. I liked Dunkirk and Darkest hour and 3 Billboards but each left me wanting a bit. I Tanya didn't at all.

Man being in that audience would be so awesome.
I really liked all the ones you mentioned but I feel like the Darkest Hour was off a tick, I Tonya was too aware of itself and thus felt a little hollow, but Dunkirk was the one movie I walked out of where I felt like no discussion was needed. It was just my personal reaction to the movie and I was content with that. One of my favorite "exits" I've ever had.
3 Billboards was great and I'd be fine with it winning, but I'm rooting for Nolan.
