He tries because she reminds him of Catelyn. And by tries, I mean attempted rape

Good call by this guy on the non-spoilers thread.

Maybe Jaime dies, but I'm hoping they do something like gouge his eyes and maybe cut off his thumbs like suggested before. I'd love to see how his "pretty boy" character would develop if mutilated and made ugly.

Doesn't go down exactly the way he mentioned, but close enough. Post-Vargo Hoat Jaime is my favorite character in the series!

anyone else like their casting of Walder Frey? reading the books I pictured him as the dude that was in harry potter and sho nuff that's who they cast

How long do you want to ignore this user?
i think they're just bringing in all the lesser actors from harry potter. there's been like 4 of them.

Great show so far, non-book reader but I think its kind of obvious what's about to happen here, at least this is what I hope happens.

baby born, dragons hatched, dany continues her rise to horsepriestess badass and sets sail for westeros with the horde.

some bullcrap goes down at the wall, some threat from the north emerges.

Robb marching on the Lannisters, two powerful families that will suck the rest of the nation into choosing sides.

All comes together for what will be a year worth of painful waiting to witness a epically cutthroat and twisted war across the whole land during season 2.

Yeah man, it was totally obvious.

Also, GM87, I caught that as well. No way that guy hasn't found that spoiler. How do you predict that?
PastrySquirrel
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't think it's a prediction so much as a desire for for more Daniboobs. Although if anyone's suffering from withdrawal they can just go back to the first episode or two

I did not like the way they did the 2 battles or the changes they made to Robb's strategy. Also interesting that they didn't introduce Roose Bolton (that I have seen).

The Blackfish is missing, as well as the Karstarks. It seems that for season 1 the writers decided to combine Rodrick Cassel and the Blackfish into 1 character. Maybe they're saving all the Tullys for season 2.
SeanDaAg2005
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Seems like that's exactly what they did.

Solid ending to the season. They definitely did a great job on the dragons.

The scene with Pycelle seemed out of place. I was kinda hoping for more with Dany, showing how her bloodriders were just sticking around to take her to the crones, and then becoming her followers after the funeral pyre.

1. Dany looks to gain more followers and bide her time until her "new pets" grow to eventually take on the Dothraki, in order to expand her depleted army. Also, I see her and Jorah hooking up, but she dismisses it as a drunken mistake, forever leaving him in the friend zone.

2. Arya develops a crush on Robert's bass-tard, and she becomes reunited with her favorite sibling, Jon, at the wall. Also, I think she continues to hone her skills as a warrior, and possibly become the first woman of the watch?

3. I just have an inkling that Robb is gonna die pretty soon..."King of the North"? I think him accepting the title was a stupid idea. I just don't think their forces are strong enough to handle everything that will be thrown at them. Also, I don't trust Theon (mostly because of his sh*tty mustache, it makes him look like a rat). I have a feeling that him and the rest of the Greyjoys will be looking for revenge.

4. There is something about Jon's lineage that keeps bugging me. I know his mother has yet to be revealed, but I just have trouble accepting that a man that is so bound to his honor like Ned would decide to have an affair within the first few years of his marriage to Cat. If, in fact, Ned is not his father, whose secret is he keeping? I doubt it is King Robert's because he has too many bass-tards to count...maybe his brother slept with the enemy, or possibly Lyanna had an affair with that Targayean dude? Also, I think that he will find his uncle....as a mindless zombie, and will be forced to kill him.

5. Syrio isn't dead.

6. Tyrion goes back to King's Landing and wrecks sh*t. I feel like he will constantly undermine Joffery to the point where the petulant king may ask for his uncle's head.

Wow. This guy did a pretty good job...

No way he did it w/out reading wikipedia.

That guy may be the biggest d-bag in the history of the Entertainment board, as I'm pretty sure he's either read the books or read a wiki and is passing spoilers off as his own "theories."

Which if he is, is just completely pathetic.
Thunder18
How long do you want to ignore this user?
yep. i didnt single him out on my post about people making amazingly close predictions but I wanted to. no way he makes those predictions with no prio knowledge of the series
G Martin 87
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Those predictions are not entirely accurate, though. Some, like #1, are obvious. The only one that makes me wonder is the reference to Rhaegar and Lyanna. As for Syrio, he's dead. How do we know this? Because Ser Meryn Trant is still alive.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
meh I don't think you could call him out like that. Yeah he gets some stuff close, but the evidence for stuff like that is there. For example, the guessing of Greyjoy makes sense. They have played it up clearly in show that hes an aggressive kid who is proud of his name...We know the Imp and the inbred king aren't best of friends etc etc

Weird never once thought about this before, on my last post on the other thread, I decided to call it "Robert's Rebellion" as what I see as the more common term, but it made me realize that I really think of it as "The War of the Usurper"

It depends on whose side you fought, naturally. You must secretly be a Targaryen sympathizer.

i know this is supposed to be about the TV series but we've all read the book here, so...anyone else getting geared up for ADwD release?! i'm on my re-read right now, about 250 pages into ASoS, i forgot how good this one was. just got through the Sam the Slayer chapter, freakin love that part

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Trying to finish the First Law series before my reread...luckily I read fast and have two vacations coming up in the next month with long plane rides, so I should be set for the release

I'm pretty psyched. Planning to do a re-read first, since it's been a while, and I have NO time right now (plus those books are crack for me - when I start reading, I won't want to stop to work or do things I need to. I freelance, so that's an issue!).

I'm not in a big hurry - I've waited five years to find out what happens, and 10 years to find out what happens to Tyrion, Jon and Dany, so I can wait a while longer - but I don't want to get spoiled. I guess no interwebs for me!

i'm about halfway through a feast for crows right now. first time reading throughany of the books. can't wait for ADWD

How long do you want to ignore this user?
jenn - understandable. i'm personally gonna try and be one of the psychos getting the book ASAP (gonna look for a midnight release somewhere i think) and then probably reading all night. work is gonna suck the next day but it's all worth it

i've also scheduled out my re-read, just need to knock out about 100 pages a day from right now which isn't too bad

Re-read has been completed! I've even bothered to highlight sections in the kindle that seemed a bit more important in hindsight than I remembered.

I WILL be reading aDwD the night of and be useless the next morning!

Natalie Dormer cast as Margarey Tyrell. You might remember her as Anne Boleyn on "The Tudors"

Question for those who've read through the books.

I watched the 1st season and liked it a lot, now reading the series; half way through GOT.

Does Bran's "foresight" or flying or whatever he does conintue after he was awaken from his coma? If so, how are they going to leave a detail like this out of the show?
cainer
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I could see ways of them down playing the three-eyed crow in the TV series but it will be interesting since it does play a big part in bran's story the rest of the series.
bluefire579
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It continues, but where we last left Bran at the end of A Storm of Swords, it seemed to be right on the cusp of actually playing a more key role in the story. I guess we'll see if it actually goes anywhere when A Dance With Dragons comes out.
OnlyForNow
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Ok.

I have to ask... still in GOT but I want to know, is Robert's ******* (the smith's apprentice from GOT) is he robert and lyanna's son? or just a regular old *******, and ned finding him and seeing him look just like robert, proved more without a doubt that joffery is not his actual son.???

In regards to Bran's dreams. I'm about half way through GoT. They've discussed a few of Bran's dreams. Maybe I'm missing the importance, but they just seem like dreams. In fact all the Starks have dreams and they are discussed in the book.
Can someone enlighten me on the significance of Bran's dreams?
cainer
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The 3EC(three-eyed crow)"dreams" are different from his wolf dreams. I don't want to go too much into the 3EC because its major spoilers and also a lot about it is still speculation until the next book.
