looks like someone already pointed this out but if you pay close attention to the description of the Alchemist from the prologue, you might notice it matches exactly what Arya saw "Jaqen" turn into before he left Harrenhall in ACoK

admittedly, i didn't catch this at first either, but after i saw it somewhere i went back to compare the two descriptions and sure enough it was almost word-for-word identical

It's funny, Asha is one character I don't seem to have a good grasp on in terms of physical appearance, so I really don't have much of an opinion on this one. I guess maybe when I see her in costume I'll form one

I always pictured Asha as a thick, Brunhilda type. Probably because of Roy Dotrice's voice characterization in COK. This looks like a substantial improvement!

hm, interesting. i've been worried about the casting of xaro, pyat pree, and quaithe for a whole...and really most of the denizens of slavers bay/qarth/etc are just so out there that it'll be difficult to cast them. looks good to me so far, though

I hope they do the costumes and hair of the east lands like they are described in the book. they are always like something out of an alternate universe. I try and picture them in my head as they are written and they always seem like someone just picked random clothes out of a costume dresser.

In my mind Asha is cast pretty darn good.

I would not picture someone as tall and thin without womanly features like kate beckinsale (ala underworld).
