No issue with him going home there. Hard hit ball but he got a great jump, went on contact.... Defense just made a better play.

LSU got here by being aggressive. Can't change it now. Florida defense has just been up to the challenge.

it most certainly did. his whole body shifts down as his back leg is knocked out from under him and the ball is released on a lower trajectory than it should have.

Don't know about that. Ball was hit to an infielder essentially standing on the grass as if he was playing in. You shouldn't run in that situation with one out.

If he was waiting to see if the ground ball was going to get through, he was never running anyway.

As it was, it took a 9/10 field and throw home to get him out.

They forced Florida to make a play and they did.

Because the runner never attempted to,slide at the base. He was a good 2 feet off the line. Not a hard call to,make.
His foot hit the base. That was a hard slide, but not textbook. Where was camera showing runner from 3rd vs. play. If he had crossed home that would have counted.

Have seen much worse slides not called and those were not in an elimination game for World Series.


No way. The lead foot hit the fielder in the middle of the shin about 3 ft towards right field. Watch it again.
On the replay he had a foot on the base. It did not affect the throw at all to 1st. He did not interfere with the throw. There was an out recorded. Let the game play out. In no way did that interfere with the play at home. In no way did it interfere with play at 1st. Hard slide, but nothing dirty.


I am,not aure what play you watched, but it was not the same,one the rest of us watched.

There was no attempt to go to the base, there was an attempt to go directly at the SS who was well off the basepath, spikes were up and it absolutely affected the throw to 1st.

You sound like a lot of the LSU fans on my facebook feed right now. Honestly dont know what you are watching.
