The RPI by regional:

Long Beach State: 14
Texas: 16
UCLA: 65
San Diego State: 73

Houston: 19
Baylor: 24
Texas A&M: 33
Iowa: 80


Average RPI per regional is actually lower in the Houston regional. If anything, maybe Houston was the one who had the most to complain about....the 3 seed that Texas started against was a much lower level opponent than the Baylor/A&M game, and the 1 and 4 seeds weren't significantly different than each other.

I'm not sure how the revisionist history already started on us being gifted something in the regional. Sure it's preferable to in Houston because we have fans that buy tickets....but we've had our postseason end on the road in the state of Texas in Houston three times and Fort Worth twice during the Childress era. If you're playing in Texas, it means you're playing other good Texas teams.

And although Davidson was an obvious optimal situation, Houston was a Top 15 team in some polls, Baylor had already beaten A&M this season, and even Iowa was receiving votes in all but maybe one poll as a 4 seed entering that regional. That wasn't an easy regional, especially considering how we ended our season. Just watching the games, I'm not sure how you could come to the conclusion that we got cupcakes or a big break. We had to earn everything we got that weekend.

If we can steal Game 1 with Johnny Wholestaff on the mound against Singer, we'll have a huge advantage in Games 2 and 3. Offense needs to show up.

I'm fine if you don't have replay at all, but if you have replay for plays at home, have it for all of the bases. The way it is right now is just asinine. Sometimes the calls are other bases are just as big as the calls at home.
