it was quite a championship run for Florida (52-19).

the Gators last 7 wins all came against #1 seeds:

LSU twice
TCU twice
Louisville
Wake Forest twice

UF finished with a whopping 31 wins vs. top 50 opponents and the #1 SoS

and poor Clemson...had both Kevin O'Sullivan and Tim Corbin on the same coaching staff as assistants.

kept the old head coach (who would later be fired)...and let 2 future CWS winning coaches get away

Wake was UF's super regional opponent. Both if wins over SR teams are included (Wake, Vandy, Kentucky, State)...I believe that would be 17 wins over CWS or SR teams

also funny looking back again at the SEC tournament...

Arkansas whipped Florida 16-0 in the semi-finals to send the Gators packing. That was UF's worst loss of the season. However it didn't mean anything

and looking at a possible preseason top 10 for next year...

Florida will be #1.

Oregon State and Tech return a lot and will probably be top 5. Good chance for TCU too with their projected starting rotation.

FSU and LSU lose some great players, but also return some. Should be top 10.

and I think there will be room for A&M to squeeze into the top 10 with the bullpen arms returning

and since the Kramer Robertson thread has been locked...I think if Mainieri had to do it all over again...he would have reined him in with the hair coloring and all that stuff. Kramer kind of made himself the face of the program (and a clown) at the CWS...took the spotlight from his teammates...and not in a good way

goes to show how important post season league tournaments are for predicting post season NCAA tournament performance.
