Yes. I've never hated anyone in sports more than Nico. I truly don't want us to win this year. I can't bring myself to root for another team, but I hope we fail just so that Nico will get canned.
I have a feeling you would hate the spurs gm more than you love the spurs if he traded wemby at midnight on a random Saturday night two years from now without checking with wemby and with only talking to one team and got garbage in return. It's easy to say you'd still root for the spurs when you know itlll never happen. But you would feel differently if it happened.
Yep, I'm still here. I did find myself rooting for them tonight, but it's extremely conflicting. I disagree with the trade with every fiber of my being. I'll soon be rooting for them again I'm sure and AD is and has always been a high character guy and he'll be easy to root for. It's cool that he gets to pair up with another UK guy in PJ because that wildcat NBA fraternity is a real one and I'm sure they were good friends already.
But, I want Nico fired yesterday. I don't give a **** if we get a ring or not…I want him gone, even if this move gets up a ship. The tone deafness of his presser is something I don't think I'll ever get over.

Maybe, but my kid and I tuned in to watch Luka do his thing. Through his injury we were hoping that the rest of the team could hold serve until he came back. Nico ripped the heart out of this team and any reason to pay attention to them anymore.

Not only did they kick you in the dick over the weekend, but every time Luka goes off for 50, or gets a highlight play, or wins a playoff series, or if he wins a championship you're going to have a whisper in your head that says "coulda been my team." 10 years of punishment ahead of you and it's all acceptable. Not only that, but as currently constructed he's going to be doing those things while the Mavs are struggling to win 30 in 3-4 years and Nico is off at some other team or shoe company.
I hate Nico more than I love "the Mavs". Because whatever zombie version of the "the Mavs" that exist today isn't the one I've spent (wasted) time and money on following for all these years. I don't expect to start following this franchise again until 2031 when they regain their draft picks. The fastest way for me to care again before that is to get a Top 10 pick this year, fire Nico, sell off AD and everyone else except Lively, and get a Top 5 pick next year. So yeah, I hope they lose every game and I'm glad they lost to the Sixers.

We probably need a separate Mavs thread for people who want to wallow and be children and pretend to not understand how the world works for the next several years.
What do you want people to talk about?. It's been 3 days. Do you want to dissect the last two minutes of last night's game? To talk about AD who hasn't even played yet? It's the biggest sports trade in history and we got ****ed. People are going to talk about it. This isn't a game thread where we only talk about games. I'm sure more people will talk about games eventually but they aren't going to stop talking about the trade. People have literally spent their lives cheering for a team and rightfully feel like that is now gone (at least while Nico is here).

Yall need a new thread where you can keep talking about a player who isn't on the Mavs. Or where you can moan about a guy you never met hurting your feelings. Or yall can pretend the Mavs are in a tank for the next 2-3 years when they actually have a really good team.
People have said they want the Mavs to lose every game and/or they aren't fans anymore. That bs needs to have its own bs thread, because the Mavs are trying to win games.

I am going to sports hate follow this team because I do want to see Nico fired ASAP. I do want to get a Top 10 pick this season. I do want to go for a Top 5 pick next season. I do want to see AD traded and recoup some picks this summer. If they give me some young players to follow during the 4 year nuclear winter of 2027-2030 when you don't control your picks, then I'll follow along. I would prefer not to wait until 2031 for the Mavs v2.0 to start. Although that is what I expect to happen.

it's also the morning after we just had to see the dude hamming it up on the sidelines with lebron and bronny....and a couple of days after we had to watch him pretend not to be pissed off in a presser....and a couple of days after his dad trashed us in the media.

People aren't just talking about the trade. They are saying they are glad the Mavs lost to the 76ers in a game they really needed.
Has anybody said anything about Max Christie other than me? I don't think so. Because people aren't discussing the trade.
