Not our day today. Everybody seemed to share in some bad moments. First real stinker from Christie.
I'm not thread policing now, you are. I don't thread police people. If something upsets you, avoid it. This is something most of us learned in preschool.mavsfan4ever said:
Apparently you weren't joking. I gave you too much credit. Please leave the thread or quit posting about anything Luka related.
I seriously doubt you were thread policy in the spurs thread once kawhi left. We don't need you here.
And I bet you never checked raptors box scores and posted anything about them. And made sure no one else did either.

Here's the cool thing, you can not look at Lakers box scores and then not repost them here then you dont see them.
Yeah well you could also not post here since you're a spurs fan, so maybe be less aggro with your thread policing, friend, and to each his own
You're the one crying about seeing something you can avoid seeing. If you have a masochistic need to do it, then you do you. I'm just pointing out you can avoid it
I leave you alone for a weekend and our board is turning on you like you're Homer Stokes? What did you do pal?Guitarsoup said:
Wolves lost last night and play at OKC tonight. Wolves have injuries right now to DonteDiV, Gobert, and Julius Randle.
Clippers also lost last night pretty big at Indiana and play at Detroit. Detroit is better than you think. Also, Kawhi and Powell are out against Detroit. Kawhi has missed 2 of the last three and is out tonight, Powell has missed the last two.
Mavs, Wolves, and Clippers all have 31 wins right now, but Clippers have played two fewer games.
Clippers have the 6th hardest schedule the rest of the season.
Wolves have one of the easiest, but are dealing with multiple injuries as well.
Mavs are right in the middle at 14th.
He's really an NBA fan above everything else. For the most part he's been a great poster - - just seems like Luka tinkled in his Cheerios lately.PatAg said:
spurs fan in a mavs thread still...interesting
I do love the NBA and I don't have the attachment to Luka that Mavs fans would have. I've always said the trade was not good. I also have been offered a job with the Mavs and am close to people in the organization, and have been talking about it since the trade happened. I think more will probably leak out at some point.South Platte said:He's really an NBA fan above everything else. Clippers lost to Detroit, which brings Dallas to a half game out of 6th.Guitarsoup said:

the chaos agent in me thinks it would be hilarious if the Mavs win AND luka goes off for like 41 13 and 10
because LA can suck it.
Not really considering he won them a title.Quote:
AD watching his tribute video tonight in street clothes is a little too on the nose.
More fan masochism. It's a bad take. Hopefully we win.Quote:
Hopefully Luka rips them tonight.
Not really, it's actually pretty impressive what they have done.Quote:
I haven't watched a game since the trade, but have been checking the scores. It's disappointing that they are 5-3 since then.
This is just basketball illiteracy. There's nothing I can say to you or anybody else that has this take, because you just don't know enough about basketball to understand anything I could say to you (if you actually believe this).Quote:
This team isn't a title contender anymore this year (or in the near future) after trading Luka. That possibility walked out the door with Luka.
The Mavs can't get a good enough pick this year to make tanking worthwhile at this point. There are 2-3 guys at the top of the draft that are worth tanking for. It's like a 2-3% chance for the Mavs to get a top 3 pick, and that's assuming they were to lose every game the rest of the way. Next season, the Mavs will have one of the 2-3 best rosters in the West still. Tanking next year makes no sense.Quote:
The best thing they can do is tank this year and next while they still have their picks.
Not if AD and Lively are healthy enough to play. It is pointless if none of the big men can play. That has not been decided yet.Quote:
Making the playoffs as the 7th or 8th seed is just pointless.
Hopefully the tam gets healthy and the Mavs are one of the biggest threats in the playoffs.Quote:
Hopefully the losses and injuries keep piling up with Nico getting fired while the Mavs jump into the Top 4.
I recently saw one of the Boozer kids being projected around 4, so I think it is a relatively deep class at the top. I have not done a deep dive on 2026s at all though. I heard about the Boozer kids being elite like a year ago, I have no idea if they are still considered that good. AJ Dybantsa is the real prize in 2026.Zachary Klement said:
I agree there is no use in tanking this season.
Any idea what next year's class looks like if the worst case happens and Kyrie bounces, no one fills that void, and the team just doesn't make sense roster construction-wise or AD suffered a prolonged absence?
Yeah, there are just very few other teams that can pay Kyrie what he is worth. I think he has enjoyed his time here and has felt respected/appreciated here. That's very important to him.DannyDuberstein said:
Kyrie won't bounce. This team will be good for 2 years and possible title contender IF it's healthy (big if). Then it will become the 90s Mavs.
We already know that the Spurs are getting Cooper Flagg, anyway.Zachary Klement said:

Apparently Powell is expected to be available tonight. Not season-saving or anything, but we have a competent NBA player who is close to 7'.
I know right. We can't play that small all game and/or rely on Moses Brown.94chem said:Good to know the 4th string center will be wearing basketball clothes.shack009 said:
