I wasn't trying to say the thunder weren't a top team. Just that they haven't gotten it done against other top teams in the playoffs in a few years.

The reason almost everyone picked the spurs was that the thunder hadn't been playing defense like in prior years as well as the fourth quarter struggles. No one has at any point denied the raw talent possessed by the thunder. To their credit, the thunder managed to turn it up from the regular season while the spurs showed why they really shouldn't try to win on the iso hero ball that none of us like.

The Thunder are probably the most talented team in the league. Either bad luck or bad coaching has held them back up to now.
