Lol arguably.

Spurs rested plenty during the reg season this year. Fatigue shouldn't be an excuse.

Those thinking the Spurs slow down offense is something new did not watch the regular season. Spurs have been playing the same way all year long. Mostly to combat GS, because that's the only way you are going to beat them.

Barkley could DIAF tomorrow and I wouldn't be upset tbh. Duncan played well last night, and he should get extended minutes tomorrow in what could be the final game of career.

I thought the criticism against Duncan last night was unwarranted, he was okay last night. It was game 4 he was junk.

Agreed. There have been a lot of harsh words being directed at Timmy from a lot of places when he's just 1 year removed from averaging a near double-double. This isn't Kobe barely making it through the season for 3 years eating up max-like money. This is a guy who played at a pretty dang high level up until 38/39.

I think it's his knee. He hurt his good knee and it's not getting better. Because even early in the season he wasn't struggling this much. He was playing the last, what 4? years on 1 leg and now even that leg is shot.

All of that said, he's still what holds down our defense, especially the middle, so, if he's feeling as good as he did last night, he needs to have his minutes.

Clown show. At this point it's hard to just say they aren't happening on purpose. The kawhi foul was insanely obvious and the call on Aldridge I still can't see a foul there.

It's pretty sad to think their last 5 points were all from epically bad calls.

Except Westbrook likely makes both FT's anyway.

40% of the games in this series, and 2/3 of Thunder's wins, the NBA is having to admit to officiating playing a significant role in the outcome.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Which makes it a 3 PT game instead of 4 and the Spurs have a shot at tying. That 3 PT play was huge.

Yep, was just pointing that out.

Someone made a comment today that Leonard's no call foul would likely not have been called if that play was say two minutes into the second quarter. I don't know if that's true, but I guess it doesn't matter.

Yep nothing to see here. Doesn't matter. Our glorious leader, NBA, retroactively, habitually, admits what they do wrong in big games.

The NBA can make it up to the Spurs by just not sending refs on Thursday and letting Pop and the assistants call the fouls.

That's a little over the top. We just want to ability to overturn calls. anytime we see fit.

All I want to see is the Spurs FT attempts within 3 of what OKC gets (not counting junk time/purposeful fouling situations). I have about zero confidence we will see that tomorrow though.

And before the non spurs fans say that is absurd, Leonard, Parker attack the basket plenty as do Aldridge and Duncan in the post to at least get the FT attempts close to what OKC gets.

How many fouls were preventing Adams from an easy dunk (and smart fouls)? And no, Leonard does not routinely go to the rim like Westbrook. Could he? Absolutely. But he doesn't.

It isn't even close how many extra FTs OKC has gotten in this series. The games that were called close on FT attempts the Spurs won.

Bottomline is that in all 3 of OKCs victories they have gotten considerably more FTs than the Spurs and in 2 of the 3 victories the refs made blatantly wrong calls that likely cost the Spurs the game.

Could they have overcome that anyways? sure, but it became much more difficult and OKC is a good team without the refs help.

And Leonard, Aldridge, Manu, Ducnan and Parker all get as much or more contact collectively as Adams, Durant and Westbrook.

This is especially true at home and since the Spurs have a reputation for playing solid D without folding against everyone but the Thunder apparently.

We have seen some of the worst officiating in NBA history this series thus far.
Pahdz

Let me revise my last post a bit. Yes the Spurs go to the rim, but usually they get such damned good looks because of their ball movement they are rarely heavily contested looks. OKC, Westbrook especially, force the issue of getting to the rim, which is why it leads to more calls.

You can cry over game two all you want, but Ginobli broke the plane so Waiters shove was null. Last night you have legitimate beef but it still was no guarantee of a W.

Good luck tomorrow night, I expect a hot Spurs team coming out.

In 2 of the games, the Spurs didn't take their first FT until 18 min into the game.

OKC had double digit FTAs by that time in one game and close to it in the other.

That is RIDICULOUS....

The Spurs are not THAT undisciplined while OKC is...

Don't forget the crucial 3rd Qtr when the spurs were up by double digits and on the verge of breaking it open and the refs put OKC into the bonus before the 1st foul was even called on OKC. This series has been historically bad.

Does anyone think we actually win tomorrow? If there is any team that can, it's the Spurs. But at the same time, the absolute choke jobs of 4th quarters thus far makes it hard to believe. And the fact that the NBA admitting how bad the officiating has been really rubs salt in the wound. I really do not know what to expect tomorrow night from the Spurs. I do know that OKC will be lit and their crowd will be absolutely rocking.

Spurs can absolutely win. As I said earlier if the refs call an even game and the FT ratio is even somewhat close I put the Spurs chances at about 60%.

If we see the officiating that we have seen in the last four games, then I put the Spurs chances at less than 20%

I'm at about 30% right now. If we get off to a hot start, I'll feel better. The first couple of shots by LA will be telling. If he can make his first couple of jumpers, I'll feel much better. If Kawhi comes out aggressive and taking it to the basket and making 3's we can do it. The bench HAS to contribute more. Patty, Diaw and Manu, im looking at you.

This series has come down to FT ratios in every game except game 1. When it's close to even, we win...

And we've lost 3.

Oh they have a chance at winning. Just like they have the 3 we lost. But only if it is officiated correctly. This has been disgraceful

Tomorrow night is a referendum on Aldridge. He has a history of no showing in big playoff games.

Is he a new man, and someone this franchise can build around? We'll know by this time tomorrow.

Back with Malik Rose, Bruce Bowen David Robinson and others, the Spurs had a physical edge to go with a disciplined offense. Now they are soft. Playoffs favor the physical teams

This is the first time in a long time I've legitimately not looked forward to a Spurs playoff game. They've shown no fight in crunch time in the past few games. If they go down big tonight, I fear they won't have the energy to climb out of the hole. Hell for stretches of last game, it looked like everyone was ready for summer vacation.

I hope they surprise me tonight, but I'm not holding my breath.

Weird thinking this might be Timmy and Manu's last game. Hoping they shock everyone, but not expecting much.
