Maybe Pop feels out game 1 of the first round without him? We may not need him until round 2.

My guess is it's a very mild sprain of the joint and he will be good to go by the time playoffs arrive. If we can take care of the first round quickly that would probably give him another 7-10 days between rounds to continue to rest and rehab it.

He was hurt in the playoffs last year, too. It's not a death knell or anything especially early, but it would be nice to play at full strength.
That's terrible news no matter how you slice it. Even though he'll probably be back for the playoffs, that's the kind of injury that can derail the season.

Tony Parker is the closest person to Wolverine that you'll find in real life. Throughout his career, he's consistently healed in about 50-60% of the recommended time for every injury he's had. If this thing can take as long as 6 weeks to heal, he'll be back to full strength in 3.
Unfortunately, the Spurs play in the west, not the east, so they're going to see a 49 or 50 win team in round 1 instead of a 35 or 36 win team, which they really could beat with their bench (damn the East freaking sucks). Still, I don't see any way that Phoenix beats SA, even if Parker can't play. Homecourt + Pop's coaching and adjustments against the Suns, who rely on numerous young players = a massacre regardless.

This makes the emergence of Patty Mills even more significant. Mills has taken that next step in the regular season but playoff basketball is a different animal. Jump starting Mills post season and keeping his confidence up with some extended playing time may actually be a blessing later in the playoffs.

If Ricky Rubio could shoot this well all the time, he'd be one the premeir PGs in the league. Knocking down midrange jumpers like Parker tonight.
Should be able to come out of this healthy. Talk about mailing one in.

OKC doesn't look like their going to lose again. They have to play @IND but that doesn't look tough anymore.
That means the Spurs still need to win 2 out of the next 4 games to secure HCA. Dallas becomes a pretty big game tonight because Phoenix on a b2b will be tough the way they are playing.

Home court is huge, but I would much rather play the clippers than the rockets in the second round. I think the rockets can take OKC in a series. If anything, they will take them 6-7 games and wear their asses out.
A lot depends on Beverly for Houston. Up in the air when he forms back and they will hurt a lot if he's not able to go. Even if he does come back early he may not be able to regain form. Without him Houston doesn't have anyone to defend the elite PGs out west.
