Looks like they have also gotten rid of the alternate gray jerseys that they wore a ton last year. I was a fan of those but it looks like they won't be wearing them this season at all.

Game against the Rox tomorrow on TNT at 7pm. Can't believe the season is almost here.
Patty was great last night. Looks like its a 2 man race between Cory and him. De Colo just seems like the odd man out.
Belinelli also had a great game. The second unit with Belinelli, Manu and Boris is going to be very fun to watch. They have great chemistry together already.
Last night Pop rolled out Patty - Marco - Manu - Boris and Jeff as the second unit. Definitely an interesting lineup.
For the first time I watched Ayres for extended minutes last night and I have to say I came away with a more positive feeling about him. His offense seems to be pretty raw and non-existent at this point. He has a really tough time finishing around the rim and doesn't have the softest touch under the hoop. Aside from that, I was really impressed with how he runs the floor and defends. He really hustles his butt off in transition and its great to see that effort. He plays and works extremely hard on the defensive side of the ball and on the glass. He's more of a "scrapper" type of big man and that's always good to have. I was just under the impression that he was something that he isn't. Leaving the game yesterday I definitely think he can be a useful piece of the rotation when the Spurs need toughness, defense and rebounding inside. Just not much offense here.

I know camo uniforms are done for military appreciation, but I always get my hopes up that some team will drop the digital camo and trot out there in some Mossy Oak or something.
Well not too much to take out of this game. I think Patty is the best choice for PG. Joseph and De Colo (especially) look horrible. And I would like Baynes to get some regular rotation minutes this year. Indifferent towards Ayers. And am excited about Belli.
That Howard-Harden P&R is going to be unstoppable this year.

I only watched the second half tonight, but I like the way Belli moves within the offense.
Baynes looked pretty good. He's got surprising touch around the rim for a guy as big as he is (that left handed running hook doesn't look very good, though).
Ayers is really athletic and gives good effort. For a 5th or 6th big, I'll take it.
Playing the role of Gary Neal will be Patty Mills. Trigger. Happy. No defense.

Pretty much how I feel about everything right now.
A second unit of Mills-Belli-Manu leaves you pretty small out on the perimeter but pretty deadly on offense. Two of Diaw-Baynes-Ayres to round that unit out and it could work pretty well. Patty's main struggle at PG is creating for others (because he can't) but him playing next to Marco and Manu would definitely neutralize that and let Patty play off the ball at times (what he's best at).
If Patty and Joseph would alternate the backup PG duties for the first half of the season I would be ok with that. Bringing in De Colo at that position to make it a three man race doesn't do any good though IMO.

I only watched a couple minutes at a time as I was switching over to the World Series alot. But every time I would switch to the Spurs, Baynes was making a play. Put back dunk, athletic blocked shot, pretty good move from the right block. I was surprised with his ability. Now, it was against the Rockets bench but it did seem pretty promising.

Got tickets for the game tonight
Hoping for a Spurs / Pacers finals this year. The two most complete teams in the league with "small market" labels. I would thoroughly enjoy this matchup.
