On paper, you're right. But I feel there's some psychological pressure with the streak hanging over your head. But that's just what I feel, from a fan's perspective. Who knows if it even enters their minds during the game.

But yes, everything is set up for a loss @ OKC.

Lets not forget OKC does have some tough ones remaining as well. Indiana, Houston, Clippers, etc. Not sure why everyone is assuming they drop no more games or something.

The Spurs hopefully win the next two games though and that way the throw away game in OKC isn't a huge deal.

Baynes out with a cracked rib. Looks like some extended minutes for Ayres.... fantastic.

Indiana is just the kind of team that Baynes is really useful for. Hopefully he's not out too long.

I do wish the Spurs could wrap up this 1 already though. I just feel like our big 3 needs one more substantial rest before playoffs begin. Would be nice to give all three of them a full week off before the playoffs tip. Other than the all-star break Duncan has pretty much had no time off this season. Tony still doesn't look completely right and we all know about Manu. Just feel like even though they aren't playing heavy minutes each night that all these minutes could catch up to them further down the road.

I think Pop really tries to win tonight, because even though the Pacers are struggling to score, it will give the Spurs an opportunity to run their offense against the leagues premier defense. Let the team grind out a win in what will be a slower paced game where we won't get as many easy buckets off back door cuts an things of that nature. Assuming we don't go ice cold, I feel pretty good about how we match up tonight and going forward.

The Pacers are going to come out with showing some desperation tonight. As bad as they have been playing, I don't see this being an easy win at all.

You're probably right West, now that I think about it. Doesn't make sense to throw this one when OKC is the virtual lock for a loss.

A win tonight takes all pressure off the OKC game, and should pretty much wrap up #1, IMO.

We've still got a pretty difficult schedule down the stretch, so I wouldn't say a win tonight should wrap up the 1 seed. Obviously OKC will be well rested and will be the second of a back to back for is. Memphis, Phoenix, and Dallas will all be fighting for those last two playoff spots, so they'll be coming out with a fight. We catch a little bit of a break in that Golden State may very well be without Bogut and Lee. We also still have the Rockets left. Those are all games against teams that are more than capable of winning a game against us if we come out flat.

Of course the other aspect of this is that the Clippers are only 3 games back of OKC for the two seed. They still play eachother once more and the winner of that game will take the tie-breaker.

As long as the Clippers are still on their tail than OKC won't let up. If LAC gets locked into three than OKC might decide to rest themselves and forget about chasing the 1.

I haven't watched any Pacers games so I'm looking for a legit answer: why is Roy Hibbert so bad at rebounding? The dude is 7'2 and 290lbs, moves well enough, averages 30 mins/game, and yet he's only pulling down 6.9Rebs/game. How is that possible?

I'm not sure, footwork and knowing where to place himself? Also, teams may shoot long shots against Indiana so that leads to long rebounds too.

I apologize for the and being relatively close for the first 3 and a half quarters, I was at my nephews baseball game. I came in at the 7:30 mark of the 4th with the Spurs up 9. Now with 4 to go we're up 20 and should be able to empty the bench.

Wow what a win. Awesome.

Kawhi is just a fn beast. Timmy with the retro slam and Tony showing he's feeling good.

Man, it sure is fun to watch Kawhi, Timmy, Boris, and Tony when they are all on. The four of them go into vulcan mind meld mode and I just don't even know how they see the things they do.

It was good to see Tony turn it on and carry the team after looking pretty apathetic in the last couple. Timmy had a rough night shooting but contributes everywhere else. Kawhi and Boris both had very good shooting nights, and Patty scored 10 in 13 minutes. Even though our bench didn't play as many minutes as they usually do, we have too much depth for Indiana.

Timmy looked young and spry on that dunk. Two hands over 7'2" Hibbert! Letting Roy know that he's still the master.

What a win. Pretty nuts that it's our 58th win.

Tony carried the offense for a couple of stretches. Kawhi was unreal all night. He is so fun to watch. Tiago was solid. Marco had an off night? Mills took care of that with some instant offense. Great defense all around. This team man. Wow.

18.

Since our last loss in february, the spurs lead the league in defensive AND offensive efficiency.
Deputy Travis Junior
How long do you want to ignore this user?
"Throughout the streak, San Antonio’s overall level of dominance has been staggering. Starting with the victory over the Pistons on Feb. 26, the Spurs rank No. 1 in the NBA in all of the following categories: offensive efficiency, defensive efficiency, point differential, points, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, true shooting percentage, effective field goal percentage, assist-to-turnover ratio, blocks and defensive rebounds.

Along the way, seven different players – Marco Belinelli, Austin Daye, Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Danny Green, Patty Mills and Tony Parker — have led the Spurs in scoring, a mark that reflects their depth, balance, ball movement and commitment to their offensive system.

Here’s a quick look at San Antonio’s streak by the numbers…

Average margin of victory: 16.6 points
Average points scored: 111.2 points
Average points conceded: 94.7 points
Number of days since San Antonio’s last loss: 38
Number of victories by 10+ points: 13
Number of victories by 20+ points: 7
Number of victories by 30+ points: 2
Number of victories by less than five points: 0"
