Our next opponent over .500 is OKC in two weeks. We should build a decent cushion until then. Although playing in Utah is never easy.
I didn't know how I felt about the schedule when analyzing it this Summer but after getting by that first tough mini-stretch in the beginning of the year I think it shapes up pretty nice.
The rest of November seems pretty light as you were saying. 8 games left and if the Spurs can take 6 of those they will be sitting pretty.
December and January seem to the be the toughest months of the year for the Spurs. December is an 8/8 split between Home and Away games but January we have 9H and 5A games. Some tough teams throughout these two months though. That's why it's important for the Spurs to take care of business to close out November.
February is obviously home to the RRT but it isn't anything new to the Spurs and it's filled with winnable games. The All-Star break also splits it up. I expect the Spurs to have another great RRT going 6-3 or 7-2 and winning its 3 home games that month.
To close out the season the Spurs schedule really looks nice. There's some tough games mixed in but the Spurs close the last 2 months of the season out with 13H games and 10A games.
The NBA season goes until April 18 and the Spurs have 7 (4H 3A) games in those 18 days before the playoffs. Talk about some good rest going into the POs.... and the 3 away games are OKC, DAL & HOU. Tough games but not a lot of travel involved at all.
