Parker dominating
Again, can't tell you how frustrating it is as a Memphis fan to watch this same story play out when these two teams meet. The themes:
--Spurs bench dominates the Grizzlies
--Parker dominates the Grizzlies (he struggled some tonight but they let him go off in the 4th)
--No outside game for the Grizz (Miller's acquisition is useless if he can't hit shots)
--Anytime Grizz make any kind of run, the Spurs answer with scoring from everywhere and everyone (Splitter, Diaw, Leonard, Manu, Parker, etc etc)
Congrats Spurs. If you meet us again in the playoffs, expect to sweep the series.

It was a good game, the Spurs are just too deep for the Grizzlies. There aren't many weak links on the roster, pretty much everyone has a strong presence on both ends of the court.
First, glad the good guys got going again.
Second, as we talked about in last year's Memphis thread the problem wasn't Hollins, it was the lack of outside shooters to compliment Randolph/Gasol (as you said). Someday the front office night figure it out.

Agree Ganondorf. The front office apparently didn't get the message that the rest of us clearly saw. I can't believe the best they could get for outside shooting was Mike Miller.
The role players for the Spurs just continue to dominate their counterparts on the opposite side. That's what the Grizz are missing. They have their "big 3" in Gasol, Randolph, and Conley. But they have a collection of ****, at least offensively, for role players. Allen, Prince, Ed Davis, Pondexter, Bayless (streaky), Calathes, Koufas, etc.

Very true. Both Miller and Prince are on the down side of their carers and aren't the answer.
Splitter with 17 points and 7 rebounds on 7-10 shooting. Great game for him. Wish he blocked more shots though.

That mixup with Bonner and Tony got a pretty nice round of laughter from the crowd. Good game to go to, although traffic was obnoxious getting in. I think we can definitely stop worrying about the Cavaliers this year. The biggest lead was either 46 or 48 points before Pop went with the Nando-Mills-Joseph-Ayres-Baynes lineup for about the whole 4Q.
You guys will have to forgive Bonner. Despite being six feet and ten fuggin inches tall, he almost never pulls down rebounds, so when he occasionally does have one fall into his lap, he forgets what to do with his hands, a la Ricky Bobby.
Boris didn't play last night due to a rib injury that was caused by a camera man being too close to the action. Pop said something to the effect of 'how many injuries is it going to take for the league to do something about this'? I tend to agree with him. It's pretty ridiculous.
