Oh no, we ***** too. Unfortunately our guy doesn't shoot 20 Fts when the refs are against us.

You also don't have a guy that can draw that much contact and y'all move the ball so much, nobody would have the ball over the course of a game enough to get that many free throws

Here's what I'll never understand along those lines magnolia: Harden drives less than Parker and he gets way more calls. I don't think anyone hits the floor more than Parker and he doesn't get the same calls.

Same goes for guys like Durant. If the NBA isn't favoring certain players then it just doesn't make sense.

Eesh so many just stupid turnovers.

Fatigue will take it's toll and the Thunder are as fresh as you can be at this point of the season. None of the talking heads will mention the schedule and it'll be back to OKC are title favorite tomorrow.

TP uses more quickness to get by people and gets hit some at the rim. Harden drives slower and extends his arms going through the lane (sometimes extends them into people). He also sells it well once they touch his extended arms.

Mag if the Stros don't pull out the sweep tonight, I'm blaming you for being in here.

Some day I want to have that guy who leads the league in FTA, and not because he sucks at them like Howard and Shaq.

Time to clear the bench. Thunder's legs are too fresh.

Omg the horrible turnovers.

Aaand game.

Great streak. Spurs just need to keep focused and get the number 1 seed. Oh, and stay healthy. Pop should have sat the starters this game just to piss off the Thunder crowd.

Neither can I!

I'm glad OKC isn't resting the starters right now

I'm so glad Patty stopped being a fat ass and became good. He's so great to watch.

I told you last week that we'd help y'all out with that.

Yep I just hope Dwight is back tomorrow

As an aside, I hate the Cliff Paul commercials but don't mind the Griffen Force ones.

Thunder up 10 with less than 4 left and Pop has pulled all the starters (sans Kawhi) for the last several minutes and Brooks doesn't have anyone at the table to get his stars out?

Why are Westbrook and Durant still in with 1 minute left up 10?
Ganondorf

Also, a Spur would not have gotten that continuation like Westbrook.

Under a minute to play and KD and Westbrook finally go to the bench.

If Brooks' imposed limits on Westbrook hold then he won't play against Houston tomorrow.

ROFL, we're responding to each other on both threads.

My guess is pop loves this game. We already lost the season series to them, ends the win streak, playoff atmosphere, chance to run different rotations and plenty of film to look breakdown

Thats not a heart breaking loss, but it sucks to let them sweep. It was also very frustrating to see that kind of officiating. Durant is untouchable, meanwhile the Thunder play a very physical style if defense. Thats a very discouraging trend that i could absolutely see in the playoffs.

Well, all good things must come to an end. Although I'm sure he hates to lose, you know that Pop is happy that the win streak is over and all the extra talk and attention that comes with that.

Some thoughts and observations form our first loss since February.
-Turnover, turnover, turnovers. Spurs turned it over 18 times leading to 30 Thunder points. During the win streak, we faced some excellent defensive teams with a lot of length, but no one with the quickness that OKC posses. They were able to be aggressive on playing passing lanes and still recover, which leads me to my next point.
-over passing. OKC gambled in the passing lanes and their help side defenders would rotate pretty far to the strong side. Against most teams the Spurs would kick that ball around the three point line and get a wide open look because the opponent couldn't rotate fast enough. OKC has the quickness to get away with this, so I really think we needed our guys to attack whenever they got a lane.
-OKC did a really good job of running our shooters off the 3 point line. Green was still able to knock down a few shots, but his lack of any kind of driving ability was glaring. Belinelli can do more with the ball in his hand, but was just off tonight; couldn't shoot, made poor passes, got lost on D. Mills was the instant offense that we needed him to be, but it's hard for him to carry the load on his own against OKC.
-My previous two points about driving and OKC running shooters off the line is where Manu would really be effective. In a series, his ability to get in the lane and open up shots for others will be critical.
-Duncan and Splitter missed a lot of shots around the rim that they should, and have been, making. Perkins and Ibaka are a pretty good defensive front line, but they still shouldn't struggle nearly as much as they did tonight.
-Kawhi and the team defense on Durant was very good. KD scored 28 on 26 shots. Not very efficient from the leagues top scorer. They crowded him on all of his jumpers, collapsed into the paint any time he tried to drive. The only real success KD had was during the second half turnover barrage and he was able to get out and get baskets in transition.
-Free throw differential. Call it poor defense and reaching or poor officiating or both, but it's hard to win games when the opposing team shoots twice as many free throws. Cutting down on the turnovers and limiting fastbreaks would be the easiest way to help this. Don't let Durant and Westbrook run at you with a full head of steam.

The Thunder outplayed the Spurs tonight and had better energy. They're a tough matchup for the Spurs, but there are some things that can be fixed for a playoff series.

I honestly don't believe the Spurs can beat the Thunder in a series. Maybe it's lingering effects from 2012 but I just don't see it happening.

That was quite possibly one of the worst reffed games I've seen.

The ticky tack calls on Kawhi early completely changed the tenor of the game.

And the double T on Tim was ridiculous.

This is why I hate playing the Thunder. I think the teams are about as even as you can be on paper, but they get so many calls it's ridiculous.

Hoping this officiating doesn't stagnate in the playoffs, but I think we all know it will.

It's so bad, that I didn't even get to watch the game, yet I know EXACTLY what was going on foul and tempo wise just from reading this thread.
