Belgium came out with fire and played to win so far, we've played scared and lack confidence. It's a complete flip of how the 2 teams have performed so far in the tournament.

Right now, it looks like Belgium rallied around the Balo debacle and we assumed we'd we win, got punched In the face early and have no answer.


Unfortunately back line and GK are exposed for what they are… old / slow CB's that are ass and a GK that's well below subpar. Our speed is neutralized by not playing aggressively and long balls that negate our midfield and force our CBs to be athletic, specifically Ream.

Lot of truth here.

Dest, Balogun, Tillman, Pepi, Aaronson, Scally, Reyna, Freeman all 25 or younger with Richards, Adams, McKennie, Pulisic just a year or two older. That's a great core to build around.

If we had come out and played hard, but still lost because Belgium was better, then I don't think it sets us back. It could still have been spun as a positive. The way we've played today, though? I don't see it inspiring a new generation of fans and players.
