Math guy, as a ref how does the Dorgu goal stand?

Here we go.

It's a serious question? Arsenal deserved to lose but I don't understand why that was allowed in the current laws of handball

Arm by side, ball directed by your player. Not intentional handling. End of discussion.

Go cry with your own fans.

Sorry to try and have a valid discussion. Enjoy the fight for Europa league

Coming over here, as a gooner, minutes after the game, whining about a goal scored against you? Yeah, I am sure you weee looking for a "valid discussion ".

And I will enjoy the rest of the season immensely knowing we took care of citeh and the gooners in consecutive games with an interim manager.

There's just something so good about beating Arsenal especially at the Emirates.

It's a violation of Law to score directly from the ball touching your hand for any reason. It wasn't directly a goal so that's out.

The ball didn't directly hit his hand and his hand was not in an unnatural position.

Beyond that? Handling is whatever the guy with the whistle and guy in the VAR booth want to say it is today. It's a confusing inconsistent mess.

ETA I will add that IMHO CP got screwed royally over that handling, YC and PK against them today. Chelsea got a gift.

Ok makes sense and appreciate it. Somehow it feels like refereeing is getting worse with VAR and not better (across the league)

It is. But thats a discussion for during the week. Right now we are enjoying 2 straight wins against the top of the table.

Something clicked with Dorgu a few weeks back and he's been immense ever since.

I don't know if I'm getting wistful because I know he's leaving and I know he'll likely be retiring in the next couple of years but, damn I have loved me some Casemiro the last two games. He's been immense (even though it's still painful to watch him sprint). Also just really awesome to see him jump on Carrick's back after 3rd goal against City and hear him tell Dorgu to "enjoy the moment, enjoy the goal" tonight.

I made a comment about this early in the season when someone was talking about on Sirius. Amorim constantly pulled Casemiro and other defenders out in the second halves of matches. 60-65' Cas gone. Almost every game. Former player said something to the effect of "I don't get it. I know the game has changed but you don't usually sub your backline unless there is an injury."

Some times you take a defensive player off to chase a game. Or playing a bunch of comps you want to spell his legs. But Amorim did it without fail or feel for the match. Crazy.

Casemiro to me seems more valuable in the last 40 than the first 50. If I was going to do anything it would be to bring him in when up 2-1 rather than sub him out when you take the lead.

Playing devil's advocate, Casemiro is definitely leggy towards the end of matches and Amorim might have been trying to keep his young center backs in the first team minutes rotation and that was the only way to do it without any European football or cup games. I don't know if I actually believe that, just trying to look at it from all sides.

This makes me very, very happy. Sad gooners are almost, almost as fun as sad longhorns.
