FIFA has said that clubs can retain their AFCON players until December 15. We really need to bank some points. First two matches where we lose our right side are Villa and Newcastle, which are fairly important matchups for a top 5 race (even though Newcastle are 13th right now, they are only 3 points behind us, and I think they eventually move up around us; I basically think they are better than where they sit now).

Newcastle is a better squad than us. They just lack depth to play both champions league and premier league.

That can't always be an excuse. We have had hell over the years trying to break down a low block.

But it is why so many teams do it, especially bad teams. They sit back and pray for one weird break or goal. Few teams are really equipped to break it down. And we just arent good enough to do it.

Yeah, it's nothing new. If a team puts men behind the ball and clogs the middle, United don't have the speed of play and the midfield talent to play quick 1-2-3s to break them down. So the ball gets forced wide and deep and eventually a cross comes in which a good defense with strong center backs will eat up.

That quick 1-2 with Zirkzee that almost lead to a Mbeumo chance had it not been for a great tackle from the West Ham defender is what we need more of. And weirdly it's what Zirkzee is pretty good at. Better than heading anyway even though we keep lofting balls up to him and praying it works out.
