My experience is it's the other way. English players are WAY more colorful with each other, the other team and the referee.

I get the desire to go for a win when you're up a man but United rarely, if ever, looked like the better team. The Casemiro and Shaw subs were clearly planned. But the ones in the 75th minute were head scratchers. Carrick gambled in a game that he never had control of. A point, even if up a man for 45 minutes, would have been a perfectly acceptable result in that environment given how the first 75 minutes went.

Ah well, we were unlikely to go undefeated anyway. Sunday match against Villa is huge.

Shaw was subbed off in the 60th likely as a planned sub and Mazraoui got injured in the 85th.
