Considering the injuries and players on int'l duty, I'm stunned we're playing this well. We may lose by 2 goals but the performance has been pretty good actually. Even the goals…I mean we could have done better but they were also really well taken.

Agreed. But when you have a forward with a dead to rights leveler and he misses it. It's always going to be painful.

Bruno out for at least a month with a hamstring. I'll be shocked if he's ready to go in 30 days.

Harry Maguire did his hammy at the beginning of November and he's just now coming back.

Amad and Mbuemo out for AFCON.

I think we are going to be moaning about how many points we dropped at home since October.

To be honest, if the plan was to play him in one of the 10 roles, I'm not that big on it. It seems like we have too many 10s to me already (certainly compared to other positions).

I only came around to him because despite our best efforts we are still there to chase champions league. We aren't going to find the midfielders we need in a January window. We need some quality depth.

Plus it's man Dhabi once again adding frosting to their title contending squad.

I thought we might score more if we could find an alternative to Dorgu (or Dalot) on the left side. But that isn't Cunha (or Zirkzee or Mount or whomever else you want to name with a right foot; not pacey enough to get back quickly). Maybe it's not Semenyo either, I'm not familiar enough with him. Improving defense mostly requires improving at the double pivot, which I agree isn't looking real likely near term.

I'm beyond fine with missing out on Semenyo. Even if they planned on playing him at wingback, it's a weird move. And it makes even less sense if they didn't plan on playing him there.

We are playing decently. Already had some chances if the front line would turn on the ball faster. My biggest issue with Sesko so far is he looks like he's not up to the speed of the league yet. Hoping it comes.

Anyone notice before the goal that they were talking about how we were outnumbered in the midfield even though we've been playing a more or less conventional 4-2-3-1 the whole game? Kind of funny. I guess if you prepare material, you are going to use it.
