And the circus goes on…clown show.
The Utd 25/26 script.

After a disaster window.
Utd will start the season poorly
Amorim will of course get sacked.
With the pressure high. Some idiot at INEOS will remember how nostalgic fans were when Rudd was hired. With no budget for a big manager?

Xabi Alonso leaves Real Madrid.
I think I would instantly forgive Ratcliffe and Co if they were somehow able to convince him to be the next United manager.
I mean it has 0% chance of happening. He'll never even consider it. But it would be amazing, even if he managed us to consecutive 17th place finishes.

I think Carrick is the right call between the two. At least, we learn something new.
But really we all know none of this is good.
Nothing sounds like success more than "sacked manager at Middlesbrough".
Although to be fair nothing else has worked. We have tried big names. We have tried guys with international success. We have tried up and comers. We have tried tired old retreads. We have tried well liked former players. We haven't tried "well liked former player who was sacked by Middlesbrough" although that's preferable to "crotchety former player sacked by Derby County, Plymouth Argyle and Birmingham City".
This is one great big massive **** show.

Pardon if I missed it, Did yall see the rumor that United are exploring playing in season friendlies due to lack of matchday revenue?

Teams play friendlies all the time. The difference is they play them behind closed doors. It's a glorified scrimmage.
Playing them openly with fans in stands or on TV? Yeah. That's a whole different deal.

Your last part is what they are looking into. Played in front of fans for money. I could see them flying to the states. INEOS is desperate for income.

INEOS has annual revenues in excess of $60 billion, they are fine. Now do they want a better return on their United investment? maybe, but INEOS doesn't need the cash.

I can't remember where I saw it, I think maybe one of the journalists I follow on Twitter, but I think maybe they were looking at something in the Middle East (And, yeah, since our ability to spend on transfers is based on our revenue going forward, I think the idea is to try to partially make up our lost revenue from no Europe in an oil state; I think AC Milan has the same problem, F'ed up so bad last year that they missed Europe altogether.)

This makes sense. INEOS isn't hurting for cash, they need revenues for United so they can spend more in the transfer window this summer

Apparently Casemiro's contract can be automatically extended for another year if he starts 35 games.
So, you know, I guess there is an upside to only playing 40 games this season.

i saw the note. i believe he has to play in all remaining games to hit that. i don't believe they will play him in all games to trigger that.

I don't believe he will be able to play in every game. I fully expect him to get a red card suspension.
