Shaw went off at 61 so Dalot came on and Mazraoui moved to LB. Mazraoui went off late limping and that left no other choice.

Hojlund has an automatic buy clause in his loan if Napoli make CL (currently 3rd 5 points ahead of 5th) but their director of football is saying they'll trigger the clause even if they don't qualify for CL. If so, that's another 45m EUR in transfer fees.

Barcelona and United currently negotiating on 30m EUR fee to make his loan permanent. Sounds like they might agree on 3 installments of 10m EUR each.

They probably are but it's such a commonly known narrative at this point, that, if I were them, I'd completely be like "oh, man...jeez, sorry I can't pay that at once" even if/when my financial situation improved. I mean, who's going to ask them to open the books? They aren't public (I don't think) so how much financial clarity can anyone really have? Just keep crying about how poor you are while you continue to sucker clubs into selling assets at discounted rates because you're Barca and all the while, challenging for and winning trophies. Must be nice.

I'm 100% in the minority and I know that, but I'd tell them to either pay as is, or walk away. You know how many wingers on Marcus Rashford's level, or even close, you can get for less than 30m Barca? Freaking none that's how many, you can hope to pay 50m+. Plus, although his wages with us are expensive, we kind of need a left winger next year anyway, and we aren't getting a good one for 30M either. (He'll have to eat a pay decrease to stay at Barca, but he obviously wouldn't eat one for us). Or if he doesn't want to come back, his agent can find someone that will pay it.

Also, I know his agent is his brother, but getting moves for their clients is what agents do. If he can't, and you end up needing a move, fire your brother and hire someone who can do the job. If you want to just give your brother money but not do the agent job, get an agent and just give your brother money for some other invented job that affects your future less.

I actually mostly agree. The only reason why I wouldn't scrap the deal for a spread of the 30m across 3 years is that it wouldn't be worth the distraction/headache/drama for 3 months trying to find a new club that all parties can be happy with. He's not doing badly at Barca but 4 G and 8 A isn't likely to get a ton of interest from non-EPL clubs with money. Plus, he turns 29 in October. Really just not worth it, IMO. But definitely wouldn't renegotiate a lower price. A penny less than 30m and Barca can go eff themselves.

Villa is playing so high. The play would favor using Sesko and playing fast chips over the top. This slow pass around and drive through the just won't work. There is room to run on the wings.
