Almost all had injury issues or did not see the field for whatever reason. We are stacked at most of their positions so now is the time to fill their spots with those in need like LB to even out the roster.

Right? We tied Vandy for last place in the conference, yet people are insisting "we're stacked" haha. It's totally absurd

Roster management doesn't seem to be Jimbos strength. Are we going to be the youngest team in the sec again.

Yeah I never thought he did. I'm just pretty sure the guy I was replying to automatically assumed he was a disciplinary problem just because he's transferring.

While not disciplinary per se Johnson hasn't suited up with the team in a while now.

Based on this it seems he hasn't been on the team for a bit

What you would think someone would tell all these kids that want to leave:
1) You are getting paid trainer and nutritionists to work with you.
2) You have access to the best facilities that money can buy.
3) People value personal fortitude. Quitting doesn't look good.
4) You never know when someone is gonna get sick or hurt and you can go from 3rd team to 1st round draft pick.

I hope it works out well for the LJ Johnson's of the world. But history shows that your chance of success is much less on his path.

Let's look at the losses

App St - Missed FG to tie. App St should never have been in the game. 2 TOs and we just didn't look very good. Outcoached, Outplayed.
Lost by 3

Miss St - Got beat. Outcoached. Outplayed.
Lost by 18

#1 Alabama - Missed pass at the end would have won the game. PI should have been called.
Lost by 4

USCe - Could have won at the end.
Lost by 6

#15 Ole Miss - Lost by 3
Florida - Lost by 17
Auburn - Lost by 3


We're a play here and there from being 10-2 with Wins over 5 Top 5 teams, including #1 Alabama.
Haynes King was the QB for 5 of those games. I'm not blaming King, but he went 7 TD / 6 Ints, includind his sole win against Sam Houston (3TD/2INT)

Weigman wasn't ready, IMO, to start the season. Max was a good option, but improvement at QB and a healthy OL will go a long way to improving the team for 2023.

Good points but we will never know about CW if he would have started the season. The home games would have been great to get him used to playing at this level. Jimbo is old school that's why I said no way he starts CW first.

Trying to claim an offense that was ranked around 100 in scoring is a play or 2 away from being 10-2 is ridiculous.

Avery Hughes was the MVP of the spring game. Never saw the field because Jimbo didn't want to hurt the feelings of his precious underperforming 4 and 5 stars. So he's leaving. I hope he shines somewhere else.

Someone on this thread earlier reported that a unnamed BigXI player was transferring here. All they said was a Jr. with almost 100 tackles from a Big XI school
