for all you Longview High Guys, what about Ernest "boo" Hunter. He played with Bobby Taylor and I think made it to the league.

I can't believe that none of the La Marque posters have mentioned the Francis brothers: Ron, a DB for Baylor & the Cowboys and James, a LB for Baylor & the Bengals.
While Kingwood HS doesn't have much in the way of players (agree that Ellisor was the best), Cowboys scouting director Walter Juliff was an assistant coach there in '82 & '83.

OC broke Colorado's freshman RB record - and threw a half-back pass to beat Nebraska in 86. He just couldn't stay healthy. I would submit he was better than DF.

good call on the Francis connection at LaMarque. But how come no love for Roylin Bradley? Injuries hurt him, but that guy could really ball coming out of HS. If I remember correctly, he was 2nd LBer behind Lavar Arrington that year.
