Does this count? I went to Lakeview Elementary. That was the old Sugar Land HS that produced the man at the top of this list. Ken Hall

Red, I remember Randy Simmons. I'm from West Orange-Stark and we beat McKinney in 1986 for the state title. Best player from WOS - our very own Kevin Smith.

St Mary's High School, Orange, TX - Ronnie Herman. Parseghian was the scheduled speaker at our football banquet his senior (my frosh) year until it became apparent that wouldn't qualify. Yeoman spoke instead and after making all-american at Warton JC Ronnie ended up at UH where is career was cut short by injury.

Side note: Steve Worster was a senior same year at Bridge City and both made the DCTF Super Team.

Sorry, didn't intend to write a novel.

I went and watched Kerrville Tivy in a game last year. That Prater is a damn good linebacker. He is fast and was flying around making tackles. I bet he gets a chance to start sometime in his career at LSU. I wish the Ags would have recruited him. He is fast and speed is what our linebacker corps needs.

ac,

Big Spring also produced Charlie West who played for the Minnesota Vikings. And a guy who I ran track with name Ken Coffey, a defensive back with the Washington Redskins. Ken and Darrell Green both started as rookies for Washington.

But since none of these guys or Charlie Johnson played for Texas A&M, they are not the best in my book.
