Randy Simmons - Amazing HS RB, but knee injury and a guy named Darren Lewis kept him from being a stud at A&M.

Sammy Walker - same class as Simmons; played DB for tceh and the Steelers.

Max Knocke (sp?) - QB at TCU; played some in Canada.

his older brother dated my best friends sister so we would play football in the yard with him all the time. if i hadnt moved before getting to consol i probably wouldve listed him as well. he was good. i was disappointed when he chose baylor, but i still have a BU hat signed by him in storage.

Tommy Krammer played for Lee High School in San Antonio not MacArthur.

My dad was the HC at Roosevelt at the time and beat Lee/Kramer for the city championship in '70.

To Churchill I would add is Chris Lammers.

like the guy from texas city that posted earlier, your memory doesn't go back far enough. just a few years before these players, la marque had some truly gifted athletes come through its program.

i'm glad to see the folks from galveston have put together some good lists, but the folks from la marque and texas city need to step it up.

No it's the "school of Choice now. It used to be a "Alternative" School for delinquents. Reggie Grob was the stadium right behind the gym. It actually had 2 decks on the home side before they cut it down.
