So far so good. Jogged 6.24 miles.

Daughter stopped by and asked if she could take some of my chicken salad home.

Between wife and daughter my 3 - 4 day batch of chicken salad lasted two days.

My advice is to stop working out for a week. You're going to need all the energy you can muster. Today will still feel ok and then tomorrow you're probably going to feel like you got hit by a truck.

Buy lots of food for the first week. Your body will crave all the crap we usually eat so you'll consume everything in sight. ****s will be off the chart. Take lots of fiber.

Whole30 Day 3:

Jogged 7.13 miles today.

Went to a Mexican restaurant tonight and ate carnitas. It was really hard to sit there and not have a single chip.

I will try to take it easy tomorrow, but I can't take a week off of exercise!

If I start feeling like crap I will back it off.

Whole30 Day 4:

Today I have felt ravenous. Haven't felt bad though. Got up early and did 8.06 miles.

I have eaten at least an apple sized portion of something every hour on the hour since 11am. Energy levels seem fine.

Made a huge batch of chicken salad, but used only dark meat. My wife won't touch it now...

Well, I got down to 219.4 last Friday, went off the wagon on adult beverages three of the past four days, and am back up to 225.

Drank every day since Tuesday. Just disgusting drinking. Conversely we ate very healthily.

Weighed 201 this morning. Was 205 yesterday. Lowest I've weighed in 3 years probably. I've stopped trying to understand my weight.

I will skyrocket back to 206 tomorrow. Book it.

Got a timely reminder that eating too much of the right food is still eating too much. At the same time, though, it was while celebrating 4th of July with family and friends so not a huge deal. Back on track this week, prepping for a five-hour Peloton ride on Saturday!

Whole30 Days 5 - 7:

I seem to have gotten over my ravenous phase. It was really making IF hard. As far as exercise goes I took a rest day on Sunday and exercised lightly on Monday and Tuesday. Hit it at 5:30AM today for 8.07 miles. About to go for a 15 - 20 mile ride at lunch time.

I drink hot green tea three times a day. My first cup is plain, but my second two later in the day I put a teaspoon of raw sugar in it. So far if I have to single out one thing I miss it's the sugar in my tea. Other than that this hasn't been that bad. The primal kitchen salad dressings and Mayo have been pretty good so far.

The biggest issue I have had so far was my middle child bringing home HopDoddy Burgers and fries for the family and his GF. I went for a walk. 1. They looked and smelled amazing. 2. I saw how expensive it was. Came out to $14.33 per person for a Hamburger and fries. FTR - I have never eaten there.

I really want to weigh myself. After 7 days I am comfortably on a new hole on my belt and my gym shorts started falling off me on my walk today. ...after they were completely soaked around mile 6.

Wild week of weight fluctuations, was up to 221 at one point, then weighed 214 yesterday after a five-hour Peloton ride on Saturday. Happy at 216, finally broke through the 80 pound marker, going to really have to hone in on calories if I want to keep dropping weight.

Up and down week, lost the plot a bit having to drive to Austin and back from Dallas Thursday and Saturday (bought a new place and trying to furniture shop). Fitness/activity levels good but I'm eating a lot of (Whole30 compliant) extra food. Tightening things up this week.

204.3 this morning. Fairly flat but I do seem to not be fluctuating up 3-5 pounds per day at this point. Rather, I'm fluctuating down 1-2 pounds. I'll take it.

I've been gaining and losing the same 3 lbs the past 6 weeks or so. 176.6 today, still shy of my 175 goal. ultimate goal for year was 175 by 6/1, then maintain or beat so that on 1/1/21 I weigh no more than 175.

I'm happy with where I am with my weight. Been lifting for 2 months now so the weight loss stalled but the clothes fit better. I want less belly flab but it'll slowly go away if I continue to add muscle. current average is lifting 2.5 times a week, working on moving that to every other day.
Take the trash out staff.

Started the year over 250. Got down to 229, but started traveling. Maintained for a bit, but the eating out eventually got the best of me. Crept up to 241, but I killed it this week.

Current weight: 237. On my way back to the 220s.

On vacation for a week but got a lot of hiking and walking in. Only gained 1 pound since last check-in. Will take that as a win.
