Down 8.4lbs in a week! Normally around 165 (5'10") but have been injured so haven't been able to run in a while and the weight piled on (kept eating like I was running, but was sitting on my arse). Started this process at 181. Just cut out 100% of refined sugar and cut my daily caloric intake in half... First few days were rough, but have settled in ok...

Was traveling most of later last week (covering a SpaceX rocket launch, which was amazing) so I didn't have access to my normal routine and ability to cook, but somehow managed to still keep losing weight! Chipotle is my emergency backup and it seems to be working pretty well. Still haven't had coffee, alcohol, or anything with added sugar since Jan 1.

Five pounds to go in 20 days!

Held basically steady between 250-251 through the end of February and spent last week skiing in Colorado, where I felt like I was eating terribly and way too much. Imagine my surprise to step on the scale this am and find out I was down almost 3 pounds from when I left Houston last week.

186 on Tuesday 3/3 before hopping a flight to Nashville for a conference. Wife joined and we stayed through the weekend.

One does not go to Nashville and not eat everything. 191.6 this morning but it was worth the near week of gluttony. I'm confident I can be back to mid-180s by the end of the week and continue my downward march through march

Don't eat back your exercise calories.

Drink water and coffee to curb appetite.

Don't drink sodas.

Weigh your self everyday as daily fluctuations can be discouraging. Look at 7-day averages.

My god, I've been traveling in Texas for 2 solid weeks. Every single meal I leave from the restaurant makes me feel like a stuffed pig. I still have another week or two left. I need to get my act together or I'll put myself back to where I started in January.

How do you eat light while eating out?

Chipotle fits in my plan, surprisingly. A little bit of rice, little bit of black beans, little bit of guac, etc., just no cheese, queso, nor chips. They pack a ton of salt into their stuff but it's still close enough.

When I'm on the road it's all about the option that's the least bad for me, I know I won't be perfect.

How do you eat light while eating out?
When I travel for work, I am general out on field sites overseeing work crews, with limited options for food. So one thing that works for me is to take along snacks to eat instead of going offsite for lunches. I will take some trail mix with nuts and fruit or some turkey jerky or a couple of protein bars. If I am going to be eating fast food for dinner, I will generally skip the fries and just get a burger or chicken and a drink. It isn't a salad and nuts level of "good for me", but it is lower calorie and a decent balance of protein and carbs that won't leave me with a bunch of cravings for more food.

When travelling for fun, I have a bit of a harder time, but combining meals can help keep you from getting completely off track there. If you are getting up late, eat a big breakfast, but then don't have a real lunch. Maybe just something light to snack on late afternoon and then an early dinner. Or skip the breakfast and eat a decent sized lunch, then a regular dinner. When I get into trouble is when I do a big breakfast before heading out to do whatever, then eat a big sit down lunch, then go somewhere nice for dinner that I really want to enjoy and top it off with a dessert.

I noticed when i was traveling or too busy at work I would always go grab something quick and it was usually not healthy. I've been hitting the grocery store and buying things for my desk drawer and lap top bag.

I've been eating 2 flavored tuna packs and a few triscuits when I'm slammed. Most of them have about 15 grams of protein each. I enjoy the buffalo, Thai chili, jalapeo and smoked the best so far. I also try to always have an apple and some almonds available.

Didn't lose last week and bitterly gave up on this thread and ate horribly last weekend out of spite. Got back to it on Tuesday and got two workouts in this week (didn't have time to work out last week)

Down a pound to 198.6
three weeks stuck at the same weight. been making good choices and working out plenty. thinking that my caloric restriction isnt doing me any favors, so im going to cut back on meat and dairy significantly and see where that takes me.

on the positive side this is the longest ive been below 200 in at least 5 years so i guess ive got that going for me.

Checking in with Pandemic Week 1 at my lowest weight so far. Y'all keep it up. We are going to need to be our healthiest to fight off the looting hordes. Half kidding.....

Also, I'm tempted to log my weigh ins in on Thursday's as those tend to be my low points for week. Was 202.1 last Thursday and then dipped into some margs and wine over weekend as a last hurrah before Armageddon this week.

Haven't checked in in a month. We went to Disney World, then our son has the flu, and then trying to find a routine again, to now having the world go crazy and there is no normal.

The weight hasn't gone up, but I can tell the tone I was getting has started to fade. Need to get back on it soon. I just don't know when....
