02/01/20: 165.8
02/02/20: 163.8

So I kinda made it there, but a lot of fluctuations due to some crazy hydration changes in the last few days. Pretty surprised about a 5.1lbs increase from yesterday to today, but it will all average out.

Ungh. Week 5 of back pain, but it's significantly improved. Sitting on a pain level of a 2. Actually hit zero a couple days in a row. Maybe next week, I can start some light exercise.

That said, scale hit 234.0 today. 6 lbs lost this month! Not sure what my actual max weight is, but know its in the 250s.

Terrible week of not eating like I should, lots of work stress, and bad sleep. It shows...not quite half a pound down for the week. Need to get back to logging religiously and eating well even when I am busy with work and other stuff.

192.8 this AM, so just under 5 down on the year. I'm satisfied w/the ~2 lbs I lost this past week considering there was a night out of dinner and drinks w/friends on Saturday.
188.4 since this last post on 1/27.

If I check in below 190 on Monday I'll be happy (albeit surprised if I can keep it under the next 48 hours).
My worst fears happened - 192.1 on Monday. I ate a couple of tiny tortillas w/tacos during the superbowl, thought I'd minimized chips and queso/guac, and did have about 3 pints of miller light. I know - not a beer I'd drink normally but its low carb.

Apparently it was all enough to push me over the edge.

188.1 this AM so I've done well this week. And sister/BIL in town starting tonight so several days of eating their favorite restaurants.

You and I are about the same height. Can I ask what you have set as your perfect goal weight?

I know what you put in there but is that the final weight?

Great job so far.

Not a Politics degenerate, but here goes

After getting down to 189 (at 6'3") pounds around the time of the Chuck Norris 5K, It started getting hotter outside and man I really loved me some Ice cream.

So, after being scared to get on a scale until Jan 5th, I stepped on it and was at the highest I've ever seen the scale... 129. Yikes.

After being so skeptical about the IMF craze, I actually decided to look into it and research rather than just be biased without really learning about it.
Science sounded somewhat sane and sound.

I got Tailgate88's kindle book and read through it. Cool I can do this 16/8 - 5/2 plan.
First few days I tried it... then realized I was able to easily get to mid-afternoon... Hey what's this thing called OMAD. oh, one meal a day. Bam, in less than a week I was fully on OMAD and it wasn't that hard to get through to 5, 6, 7pm before eating. After a week, I was getting full really fast at dinner.

Still eating whatever kind of food I wanted, just doing a sane amount of it.

Weight just started falling off without really trying. I did start running again, but not with intensity and amount I did last year... maybe 30 to 50 minutes 5x a week.

Today, 1 month later, I am 24 pounds down. 3 full belt loops down (3-inches around the waist). Pants aren't 80's tight anymore and my technical running shirts are hanging loose on my torso now instead of me looking like a busted can of biscuits.

This stuff works. I do miss creamer in my coffee in the morning. But not only am I losing weight, not having to buy stuff for breakfast and lunch (at least for me) does start adding up to savings.

And this is with being sick for the last 3 days and not being able to work out at all.

Love seeing so many in the 20+ club already this year.

After starting at 296.6 earlier this year, I never thought I'd be in the 260s this soon, but lo and behold 269 popped up on the scale today. Not cheating at all before my update post on Monday! Busy week in Chicago next week so I really need to be as disciplined as possible this weekend to mitigate the damage that might happen there (but at least there's a Whole Foods close by my hotel).

Lost 13.5 lbs in January.

I'm doing this workout by Jim Stompannani (sp?) called "Short Cut to Shred" from Bodybuilding.com.

It's a killer. You do your sets and then do a cardio for a minute in between like knee raises, jump ropinging, kettle ball squats, box jumps or just jogging in place. Then you dive right back into your next set.

The idea is to simulate High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) which studies are supposed to show it's the only thing that's proven to target abdominal fat.

I probably should have eased back into a 4 day a week lifting program, but all those yoga pants at the gym made me wanna adios this tummy toot sweet.

The problem is it's killing my knees and I'm not sure how much longer I can do it. My joints just are not built up enough to handle the impact of this much body weight.

I have two more weeks (it's a 6 week workout) and then I'll revisit it again in April.

Everybody hang in there and go easy on yourself if you're struggling with false starts.

We're older and our bodies have changed on us. What matters is that if you fall down 7 times you get back up 8 times.

Yup. Gained 7lbs over the 4 day weekend and clocked in MOnday at 195.

Back to 187.6 this morning. No plans this weekend other than V-Dinner at home tonight w/wife (low carb) and a 5k tomorrow morning. Hopefully Monday will come in at or below my weight this morning. Had a few drinks last night so some of the weight loss could be dehydration, but I was 188.8 yesterday.

If anything you ate over those weekends had high sodium (and eating at restaurants that is almost always the case!) you probably were just retaining water. I doubt you are dehydrated but rather just finally flushed it all out.

I finally seem to have broken through a resistance floor. Wed/Thurs I was in the 204s and today 203.6. I am back to the weight I was when I got married 16 years ago!
