Not a Politics degenerate, but here goes
After getting down to 189 (at 6'3") pounds around the time of the Chuck Norris 5K, It started getting hotter outside and man I really loved me some Ice cream.
So, after being scared to get on a scale until Jan 5th, I stepped on it and was at the highest I've ever seen the scale... 129. Yikes.
After being so skeptical about the IMF craze, I actually decided to look into it and research rather than just be biased without really learning about it.
Science sounded somewhat sane and sound.
I got Tailgate88's kindle book and read through it. Cool I can do this 16/8 - 5/2 plan.
First few days I tried it... then realized I was able to easily get to mid-afternoon... Hey what's this thing called OMAD. oh, one meal a day. Bam, in less than a week I was fully on OMAD and it wasn't that hard to get through to 5, 6, 7pm before eating. After a week, I was getting full really fast at dinner.
Still eating whatever kind of food I wanted, just doing a sane amount of it.
Weight just started falling off without really trying. I did start running again, but not with intensity and amount I did last year... maybe 30 to 50 minutes 5x a week.
Today, 1 month later, I am 24 pounds down. 3 full belt loops down (3-inches around the waist). Pants aren't 80's tight anymore and my technical running shirts are hanging loose on my torso now instead of me looking like a busted can of biscuits.
This stuff works. I do miss creamer in my coffee in the morning. But not only am I losing weight, not having to buy stuff for breakfast and lunch (at least for me) does start adding up to savings.
And this is with being sick for the last 3 days and not being able to work out at all.
