One guy did it tonight & almost got to 9 rounds. He said grip wasn't as much of a factor as he thought. He is a big time pacer. It's hard to judge off of him.

How did it go? Did you pace or go all out?
I hate to pace but don't usually start going fast on long workouts until I feel like I really have the movements down.

Just don't rush. It's a long workout but the movements aren't bad. Go at a pace that's slow enough to control your breathing and allow you to keep moving. You don't want to have to take breaks

This. The hardest part of this one is managing your breathing and heart rate. The movements aren't bad, you just have to be able to keep moving (at a decent pace) for 20 minutes.

Did yall do any of the movements unbroken? Thinking about doing T2B unbroken and 5/5 with putting the weight down between the RH and LH clean and press.

I would recommend the opposite. If you're going to break something up, break up the toes to bar and not the hang cleans. You are only working 1 hand for 5 reps on hang cleans so its better to push through those unbroken with the row coming afterwards.

solid score! Same to woodsag---I was wondering where redline was...

I am hoping to pace at 2 minutes but I don't know if Ill be able to stick with it or not given im just getting back in the swing of things.

I was unbroken on everything, but I'm pretty efficient with t2b. If you're not, you won't lose much time doing singles if you're quick back to the bar.

Also, echo what Duck said, the cleans should be unbroken. Once you get to the row, relax your grip and let it rest for the coming t2b. You don't need to choke the **** out of the handle.

I should know this, but roughly how many meters does 14 cals workout to be? For whatever reason that helps me get my mind around rowing for calories.

I don't think there is an exact conversion formula, as it depends on your wattage output. I am sure there is a way you can do it based on your 500 meter split time, which would show your calories/hr.. I'm too lazy to help you in an exact number if even possible .
However for fun and off the top of my head, I would guess to say that at a 500M split time of 1:50, it would take roughly 40 seconds to hit 14 calories.
The easiest thing to do is to just test out a round about an hour before you do your workout. I'd suggest doing the round at about 80% as this might serve as a good pace??? Just shooting in the dark, here.

No formula for that. Row took me about 40 seconds or 16-17 pulls
