Can you slightly grind the teeth down, or is it touching because a shim is worn? I guess a new starter is cheaper than trying to get the old one to work.

Last night I finally filled up so I finally got a chance to calculate my gas mileage...a stunning 16.6 MPG 80% city driving with a sh*t ton of WOT. This tank I'm going to try and be easier on the go pedal and see what I can get doing that.

Well Saturday evening I'm heading to Lonestar Motorsports Park in Sealy to run the 1/4 so I figured it was time to do some weight reduction. I took my box out (till I get my amp wired back up) and took my hitch off, that was a heavy sumbish I believe it's a class IV hitch since we got it off a 2500.

Before I head out the tailgate is coming off too

And also, so I dont have to read back thru 8 pages, what all have you done to the motor? I know you just got a built tranny and a stall, right?

I can just weigh everything that's taken off for track weight later on if i get bored. For performance just a tune and longtubes, didn't tear in the engine at all. The trans is fully built along with a Circle D 3200 stall, I got a quote from Pyle Bros for a True Trac/3.90 gears and they said $1350. So I'm going to try and find another reputable shop haha

I've gotten two quotes from Ron's Machining regarding just gears, limited slip, and master install kit. For 3.90 Motive gears, True Trac, and the install kit is $685 shipped. For 4.11 US Standard gears, Value Trac (made by Ron's), and the install kit is $495 shipped.

Your truck, standard, probably weighs in about 3600-3700 lbs. You're pulling off ~250lbs or more of weight. Engine, with tune/LT's is probably pushing 300+ hp at the crank. Through the slushbox, maybe 255-260 rwhp.

Your STOCK engine'd truck would do good to break 16's. I think you might be mid-to-deep 15's, maybe even high 14's with this setup and weight reduction. Stalls on the LS engines and a built trans work wonders. Mine in the TBSS broke off .6 - .8s from the 1320 times, depending on how I launched it.

Yes. "Stock" for you = 5.7, even though what you have now is a stock 5.3. Still, not what came in your hoo-ride.

So last night when I checked it it was spotty as hell on the dipstick like oil+water, I just checked it again and it was spotty but not due to water. It was just spotty from the oil that got on the dipstick from the dipstick tube, it was just low on oil.

On another note I left the strand area at 5:22, not sure what I did to hang around for 3 hours. 'MERICA
