I think you mean 2023 where the rangers were a game up so we needed a win and them to lose to win the division (end with same record but we have the tie breaker). But we would have still been the wild card if we had lost.

I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'

MLB early round playoff scheduling is galaxy-brain level dumb.

You would maximize viewership far more by having an evening doubleheader with two games in each slot vs the lunchtime and afternoon castoffs.

Then the chefs kiss is putting your playoff games on obscure networks so that people can't watch your product. What are we even doing here MLB?

Peacock has almost 50 million subscribers, not exactly obscure. Plus adding Comcast, Youtube TV, and Fubo subscribers is probably another 15-20 million people
