Sorry he's out for awhile but happy to give Shewmake the opportunity. His defensive play, 2 hr and .308 average in limited play show great potential.

Also, not knocking her, bet her parents are proud...just crazy that any collegiate or professional male sports organization would hire a female for such a role.

Because we signed him to a 5-year extension in 2021 (it mercifully ends at the close of this season).

At the time it seemed like an OK deal but kind of risky given his injury history. Unfortunately it has not worked out (like so many other splashes of cash in the post-Luhnow era).
