The MBL family went to the Space Cowboys game today. Lemme tell you, there isn't much hope down there. Best hitters were Loperfido, Dezenzo and Z Cole. Nobody else had any kind of stats and today nobody really hit at all.
Costanza threw five innings of 1 run ball though.

I don't think the problem is Espada. It's not like this is a top 10 team that he mismanaged to an average record.

This is probably the 20th best team in the MLB finishing with probably the 15th or 16th best record.

The problem is a steady stream of bad GM free agent signings and the slow hollowing out of the roster and inability to find and develop players to replenish pipeline.

This is a bottom 5 MLB team if you didn't have Yordan and Pena.

Varsho has been a crap addition at the deadline. I think we could have gotten more for a young pitcher that eats innings and has some flashes of talent.
The rest of the outfield is just terrible.

spaghetti has not shown much of it with toronto. varsho hasn't done much but i think we got as good as we could have just in time. he's also down in the minors now

I feel like every manager does that. The only manager I ever remember being happy with (going all the way back to Art Howe and Terry Collins) was Hinch. I don't remember having a lot of complaints about him.

I thought Dusty Baker made tons of very questionable decisions but he ended up winning a championship, so what do I know.

I do not let things I have zero control over piss me off. The 2019 WS is an exception.

Loved Hinch for his part in reviving he Astros from the dead and for the title, but his refusal to put in Cole in game 7 in 2019 was and still is infuriating.

Yeah, I also feel like great players bail out a lot of manager decisions. When a manager has two great options he looks great either way.

But the managers always look bad with mediocre teams because the players don't bail them out on bad decisions.

Aggies have got to let this go.

If the "what-if" game is in play, alternate history could have easily swung the other way where Georgia likely would have laid the smaketh down on Manziel.

Or the hurricane LaTech game happened as scheduled but Manziel was hurt and never played the rest of the season.

The scenarios are endless.

A lot of dreamers are further tempted to proclaim A&M the almost national champs because of the OU cotton bowl. OU had a mediocre defense, so its not like A&M's #5 offense BF'ing OU's #50 defense was a surprise.

But A&M did in fact lose to UF and LSU and none of this matters.
