Local mets are going all in on bad news tonight. Saying the cap is eroding and once it has completely gone away, storms will blow up and dump 3-4 inches per hour for up to a few hours tonight.

Yes the rain event for Friday isn't happening. It's as big a bust as JFF.

Now the system up north COULD sag into Houston and either blow through quick bringing 1-2" or move slow and dump 4-6".

So in summary it may rain and if it does it may rain a little or may rain a lot.

So now we go back to laughing at weathermen that can't predict the future perfectly because the ever changing atmospheric conditions resulted in the storm system being about 40 miles north of where they thought?
