Just got blasted by hail here for a few minutes in Katy. I wasn't expecting that. I'm just shocked that my kids stayed asleep. Looks to be a long night.

Yep...I have a 1 month old truck in the driveway that just got blasted too. We are at 6+ inches already and no sign of slowing down. Lightning everywhere too! No way I can fall asleep with all this going on.
That hail storm. Pretty sure my car got blasted.
Pucker factor in Spring. Been pretty uneventful all night, then tornado warning. Then massive wind noise, loud boom, power out. Hoping for the best now.
There's been a huge red blob on the radar in NW Harris county for like 3 hours now. Cypress has to be flooded
Pretty bad here in the JV area.. Guy across the street had his car in the street. Got out there to move it and he ran into another one of his cars.

Champions Forest is in bad shape. No power going on 3 hours and 2" of water in the garage.
Looks like there is a small break in the red blob of intense radar of the rain that is engulfing northwest side of town. Going to try to get some sleep before the thunder wakes me again.
That break is going to last approximately 5 minutes.
Went to bed at 11:00. Woke up three times to thunder. Now, I just can't fall asleep.

I have water creeping up my driveway in Copperfield. We've been here 7 years and never have seen it this bad. There's no way for us to get out, unless we had a monster truck.

Yeah the last time they closed the office was Hurricane Ike. Every other time we have had a weather event I get an automated phone call at 4am telling me the office is still open. I swear if they do that this morning and I'm assuming I get to sleep by then I'm gonna be pissed.

Our offices never officially close however we have a standing policy that if there is inclement weather and you can work remotely then it is okay to do so.

rain blowing so hard against the side of the house that it is coming in via the stove vent opening. Got pots and pans all over cook top and in microwave filling up with water. Also have a gutter blocked way up at the top ( can't possible get to) that is streaming right down the same spot....flood in kitchen

I'm not one usually worried in storms, had a panic mode earlier though. Power went out for 30 sec and in that 30 sec I was rushing to put on my knee brace, crutches and get downstairs. I'm 5 days out from major knee surgery. Luckily it came back in and I didn't panic anymore. I'm in the spring area and wow it's bad.

This storm looks so similar to last year it's crazy. It's barely moving at all, and it's moving right towards the center of town. 16+ inches of water potentially based on what it did on the NW side of town.

Pretty sure my neighbors house got hit by lightening. I'm not quite at the water level from Memorial Day last year, but if the rain keeps up with nowhere to go I'm going to start getting nervous.
Katy ISD closed
In copper field. My street is flooded. Wasn't this bad last year. I am on the high side of the street but if the water rises another 4-6 inches things could get dicey.
