I kinda think that the people watching this in Houston needed that happy ending. This has been a horrific day for so many and seeing those horses being saved has brightened a lot of us up.

Now back to cleaning up my mess.....

Me too. I was watching the horse rescue.

Was it something along the lines of white honkeys getting rescued or helped while they drown and starve?

What if where they were was just as bad? Might as well try to pull em out then let em struggle to swim where they were.

Horses noses are able to breath while they are mostly underwater aren't they?

I'll readily admit that I don't know the exact situation since I'm not on the ground there, but it just seems that if they have ground to stand on, and the water is no longer rising, it would be safer for both the horses and rescuers to stay put.

It's just my opinion, and just like my arsehole, it probably stinks.

Theyre still rescuing folks at the Greenspoint apartments, not sure what shenanigans he meant.

13 just got clearance from the airport to fly over in the helicopter, and the flooding there looks a lot worse than it did from the ground shots.

all the people piling up onto the bridge at greens and hardy toll kept being told a bus was coming in 30 and it still hadn't arrived after an hour or so.

But they were like 2 miles from where it was going to take them.

Some. Noting major. The wind blew the rain into the stove exhaust vent and thru my microwave onto the cooktop and kitchen floor. Mostly outside stuff other than that. Pool overflowed the banks and made a big mess.
