The old JJ's across from Specs on Texas has new paint and cleaning up going on outside. Some signage is down but not all.

I found out about the Hopdoddy soft opening because I was friends with one of the beer guys. I found out about the Chicken Salad Chick soft opening via Facebook.

CSC opened this morning. I happened to be taking the day off already. I sat in a lawn chair for an hour and a half, read a book, listened to some music, and got free chicken salad each month for a year.

Just to play the "what if" game, what restaurants that you see listed on the prospects list (left side) would you most like to see at Jones Crossing?

FWIW, I heard La Madeleine was interested in the retail development going in at Chimney Hill. I think a breakfast spot would do killer business there given the proximity to the Hilton and the soon to be Drury Inn and Suites.

Why does Jones Crossing need "structured parking"? It's not even urban in design and there are plenty of surface parking spots.

I believe that would only be for the 600 unit apartment complex that they have planned. If the apartments aren't built, I don't think the parking garage will be either.

Like others have pointed out, those garages look like they are specifically for the apartment complex. That would be no different than any complex built in a major city in the past 15 years.

Black Walnut - like a First Watch that does not close down after breakfast, and has a bar and delicious food. Great addition to that part of town.
