I don't know the stats of the sidearm, but those have become extremely valuable in crucible on console since the latest patch.

Just in case it isn't clear to everyone. The catalysts are earned by reaching Rank 50 for your faction. Its NOT the reward for whichever faction wins. Which means you'll actually have to grind if you want the Graviton Lance (Dead Orbit), Sunshot (FWC), or Sweet Business (New Monarchy) Catalysts.

Agreed. I think a good middle ground would be to have factions always available, but have faction rallies as limited events.

I do not like that it's not an automatic "no". That sounds like Deej speak for: We're pribably going to make it obsolete but don't want to tell you that yet.

If they go that route, they better have a TON of awesome, unique and powerful loot that makes us not care about the stuff we've worked so hard to grind

So in a follow up interview they said "The Raid is tied in to the story but it's not like you fight a bigger version of the boss"

From a wiki page "It is said the Awoken were born in the Collapse, descended from those humans who tried to flee its wrath. Something happened to them out on the edge of the deep Black, and they were forever changed. After their race was formed, they took up residence and constructed the Dreaming City in the Asteroid Belt."


So "home world" might not be the right term.

Pretty much what he said. The awoken were humans trying escape the darkness and didn't make it but did make it far enough that they didn't die. Some settled in the reef and some came back to earth. That's why we have reefborn and earthborn awoken in the lore. They technically have no home world as they were created in ships.
