Looks like Tuesday or Wednesday will be the only days I could get a raid in with y'all on a normal weekday before my big timezone change. Anyone up for the raid either tomorrow night or Wednesday?

I'm finally a level 20 but just 202 on my characters power level. Any tips on getting up to where yall are?
I'm about the same and still working through the primary campaign. I think the way the game works is for normal open world fighting or adventures the random drops will be slightly higher LL than what you have so it strings you along. I just unlocked strike teams but I imagine doing those + challenges will give some slightly higher LL as well.easttexasaggie04 said:

Make sure you are getting the 3 luminous engrams per week from doing the flash point challenge, the crucible challenge and the clan contribution reward (I believe there are 5 total per week, but the other 2 require the completion of the nightfall and raid). These engrams drop higher light level gear and exotics. You will also be getting normal rare and legendary gear while completing these task.
The fastest way is to go run Public Events. The EDZ has the most public events but if you have time to play tonight, do enough on Titan to get the Flashpoint challenge done. If you haven't done many public events, each one can unlock a heroic version which will give better loot. If you see a stranger shooting a random object instead of an enemy, help him out and shoot it too.easttexasaggie04 said:

If you aren't in a huge hurry, you can run crucible or strikes to accomplish the same thing
Basic public events will get you to 265 and after that the light level grind slows down quite a bit. Once you hit 265, the only way to really level is to get "Powerful Gear" from one of the weekly activities or exotic engrams.
turning in tokens to a faction and weapon parts to the gunsmith will get you gear up to 265. once you hit 265, the only way to level up is through the luminous engrams, nightfall, raid, and clan engrams.
normally, i would hold off on collecting the luminous engrams, but the weekly reset is tomorrow, so if you can get some done tonight, go ahead, b/c they will be a big bump in power level.
Next week, grind out those milestones to get the luminous rewards, but then don't collect them right away. The power level of them is not set until you collect them from the vendor. grind out other gear through public events, strikes, and faction tokens. then collect the luminous engrams later so they will be higher power.

Pro tip, use an app like Destiny item manager to move a sparrow to your 2nd and 3rd characters, and you'll be able to use the sparrow for the entire campaign.
Also, since you don't have a energy or power weapon at the start, you can force equip any weapon regardless of level requirement by moving them over in the app. The game doesn't allow you to have an empty slot if there is something in your inventory, so you can equip a legendary weapon from the get go. You have to do it before you get to the farm. Once you pick up weapons for those slots, it won't work.
Wish they had matchmaking for the raid. I played everything else with 2 other players but they dont get on as much.
Never mind my connection to bungie servers suck. Keep getting kicked.

Wow. 8 for a Heroic PE and only 5 for a WIN in the crucible? Why would I ever play crucible for tokens?
no lie, you can probably crank out 3+ public events in the amount of time it takes to matchmake, load, play and exit a crucible match.
