Well that's a bummer guys, I got the same cancellation email too. I don't understand that though, in today's age and time how does a pre-order go up without somebody deliberately pushing the button? Should be pretty easy to say hey do we know how much that we have or not, and can we put these up for pre-order or not. Second, if they knew this was an error why did it take this long to send out the mass email? Why not cancel all the orders within the first day or two like the people who ordered right as they were shutting the system down?

Havent gotten a cancellation yet but I assume it's coming. Friggin sucks.

Now I'm not bummed anymore!

Go read the book "Console Wars"... it's eye opening how conceded Nintendo has been since the 80's. Pretty unreal how both Nintendo and Sega (back in the day) operated as Japanese based companies. They definitely do not vibe, like, at all, with western commercialism.

Interesting, so most stores will be getting preorders. Walmart should have let us keep ours and then see where their supply was going to be after that.

I saw that the NES classic shipped 2.3 million units, and that there will be "significantly more" SNES classics around.....but what does that mean? Even double at say 5 million seems like it would be a little light. The original super nintendo sold almost 50 million units, that's a lot of people out there to potentially be hit with nostalgia and want to relive the glory days.

I figured this was how it's gonna be, places are gonna put preorders out in the dead of night to protect their servers from melting down. I woke up at 6:30 this morning and saw the text from the tracker that I never heard cause the phone is on vibrate, gonna fix that today and set my phone to do not disturb at night except for texts from from the product tracker, which I will turn the volume up a lot on.

Amazon had it in a different listing. The original listing was useless hence why people who signed up for alerts on that would not receive any alert this morning.

yeah, reading through reddit this morning that seems to be the case, dont know if thats all Amazon is going to offer or not but they didnt use the official preorder page so some speculation that was just an authorized reseller on amazon putting their stock up and that amazon's actual orders will still be down the road. I use zoolert and it never did trigger for the amazon page.

And just ignore him, annon is just bidet dude's latest username, he'll get banned again eventually, then come out of hiding after a few months with another username with no Ag Tag. Its the same old shtick, every time.

All is proceeding as I have foreseen.

and updated their website with retail stores participating in pre orders.



Gamestop would likely sell the SNES as a bundle with other (useless) products included. My bet is on Target and/or Toys "R" Us is next for pre orders.

I was able to get the classic in that way. Ordered it off my phone while in a meeting
Now if you are someone who is not at a computer or has regular access to email during that 8-5 then I agree with you
