While I think we'll beat bucs, yuyd be nuts to want to play them over lions.

It's still Brady in the playoffs on the road

At the least, you've made the Eagles and other teams in NFC work during the last two games. Since teams aren't locked into a spot, they have to play starters. They don't get to rest injured players.

49ers/Raiders tied up at 34. I don't get why Fox is showing the GB/Min game....

That's not the same Packer team that Dallas already lost to. Playing as well as any other top NFC team. What a beat-down of Minnesota.

So Washington is out and Seattle is currently the last wildcard team. Happy for them to get in over Detroit or GB. They play LA next week so the chances are decent.

Looks like SF is about to win so the #1 seed chances are fading fast.

Stidham led Raiders put up 500 yards of offense on the 49ers. Who'd have thought that one.

GB owns the tiebreaker in a two way tie with Seattle so they control their own destiny. If GB beats the lions they get the final wildcard.

Seattle needs a GB loss next week to get in. That GB/Det game at Lambeau will be insane!

Add San Fran to the list of teams you do not want to face early in the playoffs. I feel like they are better with Purdy than they were with Jimmy G. They certainly aren't any worse.

So next week shapes up:

Dallas loss -> Dallas #5 seed
Dallas win / Eagles win -> Dallas #5 seed
Dallas win / Eagles loss / 49ers win -> Dallas #2 seed
Dallas win / Eagles loss / 49ers loss -> Dallas #1 seed

5 seed - play Brady
2 seed - play Rodgers (probably)

Obviously rather have the 1 or 2 seed. But GB is a tough out right now. They are playing well.

In my opinion, it's most likely that all 3 win. (If Hurts doesn't play, Philly losing will be a lot more likely. I don't see San Fran losing at home to atrocious AZ.) I wouldn't assume Dallas has no chance of losing, at the same time. Washington is going to line-up and play hard in their final game. Is Dallas still #5 if they lose?

yes, Dallas can finish no worse than the 5 seed

Honestly at this point I'd take my chances against TB, they have more injury issue than Dallas and aren't playing particularly well (barely beating bad teams essentially all year).

And at this point I'm convinced the Vikings are one and done against the Giants or Detroit/GB, so we probably will avoid Philly in the divisional round if we win. Though at this point you might rather play them than SF.

I'll take my chances at home as the 2 seed with chances for 3 home games, than having to win 3 road games.

Agreed. In fact, I think it's more likely than not that the Cowboys lose against Tampa Bay on the road. Brady seems to be gearing up for another run, unfortunately.

What if Minn wins and is also 13-4?

We own the tie breaker with Minn

The two teams that I absolutely do not want to face are the packers AGAIN and the 49ers AGAIN! I feel the cowboys can beat every other NFC team but those two
No matter what!

We do. But what if Dallas, San Fran and Minn are all 13-4? I'm guessing the 3 way tiebreaker is conference record.

I assume 3 way would see who is eliminated via head to head to get to 2 teams..

This. I don't think we want to face either. I think the 49ers are the best team in the NFC with their defense and they will be getting a LOT healthier in the playoffs. And I feel like Rodgers has another run in him.

Rogers just has the cowboys number and has since 2016 in that crucial divisional game of Daks rookie year

Rodgers has had just about everybody's number in the playoffs the last 5-6 years.

2016-present in the playoffs: 66% completion rate, 18 TD, 5 INT

If Packers lose, it ain't cause of Rodgers.

The talking heads still blaming him for the loss last year

Packers prob go further In playoffs if Rodgers isn't playing in minus degrees

History says rookie QBs, even really good ones, don't win in the playoffs. I'll believe a team quarterbacked by Brock Purdy can win the NFC only after I see it happen.

Eventually you've gotta beat some of these teams to make the SB. I'd rather they they get some home playoff games even if it means catching one of these in the first game
birdman
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It's the playoffs. Pretty much every team in the playoffs is good. There's always a hot team. There's always a physical team. There's always a scoring machine. And so on. It's supposed to be hard. It's the playoffs.

Everybody here is talking about Dallas but they're saying the same thing about every team in the playoffs. If ANY TEAM has a sloppy game in playoffs and loses the turnover battle by two? They're going to lose. If ANY TEAM plays a B level game and opponent plays their A level game? They're going to lose. It's the playoffs.

That said, Dallas Cowboys "A" game is better than anybody else in NFL.

I'd be shocked if Barkley doesn't take the week off. You have to play your starters, not enough roster spots to do otherwise, but you rest your best weapon that has past injury issues.

No excuses for Dallas... this is their best shot since 2007 to, at the very least, make it to the NFC Championship game. The competition is as mild as it's going to get and we have a very good team.

By comparison the AFC is murderers row. Bengles and Chargers haven't been beaten in weeks and nobody wants to play the Bills or Chiefs.
