Ohio state also loaded him up his last 2 years. So 6 straight years of very heavy work, inconsistent dedication to taking care of his body, and a physical running style. Perfect storm for a quick falloff
My thoughts, exactly. Would be a big blessing if someone hired Moore, but I doubt we'll get such a blessing.batchuser said:
Moore is Jerry's new Jason Garrett.

Kellen Moore just got fired.
The Cowboys are not far off from the very top of the NFL if they can nail their draft.
They need to improve at CB, LB, WR, TB and DE.

Never thought Moore was really a part of the problem.
Zeke got paid and decided to coast, getting paid $14,000 per rushing yard.
Dak keeps throwing the ball to the other team (terrible decision making, not play calling)

Looking like McCarthy will call plays. I suspect he will have an "OC" for meetings and game planning.

If Moore was such a problem to McCarthy, why didn't he override his play calls? If he did override them several times, then this is not much of a change.

Seems obvious that McCarthy said he was going to start calling plays and Moore didn't want to go along with that. It might be better but I have my doubts.
Meanwhile, Dallas seems to be ignoring the fact that Dak is still Jekyll and Hyde. After all these years as a starter does anyone feel confident in him driving the field to win a game? You can get a different mediocre QB for a lot cheaper than Dak.
I don't disagree but my point is whether you can trust him to do it consistently. Can you honestly say that you'd trust him like a Mahomes or even Burrow? He shows flashes of being great but can't seem to sustain it. Great players show up big in big games, and after six seasons as a starter I don't think he's great yet. Will he ever be? Maybe.Macarthur said:Txmoe said:

Burrow sure showed up yesterday with the game on the line. That game winning drive he had yesterday was a thing of beauty.Txmoe said:I don't disagree but my point is whether you can trust him to do it consistently. is he really better than Hurts? passing ability wise and "at his best" sure, but you have to include decision making, don't you?Macarthur said:Txmoe said:I don't disagree but my point is whether you can trust him to do it consistently. Mahomes and Burrow are the two best QBs in the game. No one has ever said Dak is that.
Dak is damn sure better than two of the other QBs that were in the final 4 though.
If you are talking a bout this year, yeah, he had some tough moments. I think the reasons discussed above contributed quite a bit to that.BMX Bandit said:
i don't think he is a bad decision maker over all, but you cannot dispute he has a knack for making terrible decisions at really inopportune times.
How many NFL quarterbacks do you hang out with in the off season?LB12Diamond said:
I would also take Hurts for the primary reason of his work ethic and preparation. My understanding is he prepares almost as well as Brady. Does all the things Brady does in the off-season etc to be physically and mentally ready to be his best.
So many talented QBs could do so much more if they did this but very few do. I assume Dak doesn't bc of his inconsistent play and mental mistakes.
