Go and look at their remaining schedule. They're likely not going to play a great defense unless you count ours as that. They play basically one or two good teams the rest of the way

Means we gotta beat them

Was at the game and curious if the tv announcers talked about Donovan Wilson having a great game. He seemed to be all over the field today.

Brad and Babe thought he was defensive player of the game. Keep singing his praises about tackling.

Yes he was praised quite a bit.

I was there too and agree that he was all over the place.

Did you think the stadium was LOUD today? I've been to a few games there and to me it was almost as loud and rowdy as the playoff game where we beat the Eagles around 10 years ago.

Yeah it did seem louder than usual!

Yeah our problem is that no matter what we do, the Eagles are almost a lock to win the division. I look at their schedule and can't see them going any worse than 13-4, and thats even if they lose twice to us.

Yep, I hadn't looked at their schedule before today and was stunned to see the quality of competition they have the rest of the way. Agreed 13-4 seems like the floor. Could absolutely see them getting stunned in the playoffs. They shouldn't be challenged very often on their way there if they're remotely decent

This is what I was calling out before the season. The contrast in schedules is massive, starting with week 1 where Dallas got the Bucs. On the brightside, Dallas got a W in the 2nd difference (cincy). But the schedule still could end up a 2 game swing in Philly's favor which would be huge. This next weekend is big for potentially mitigating that.

Too be fair, our schedule gets pretty easy too after the next two weeks. these are our final 11 games:

Detroit
Chicago
@ Green Bay (who really hasnt looked good at all)
@ Minnesota
New York
Indy
Houston
@Jacksonville
Philly
@ Tennessee
@ Washington

That's 5 layups and 2 more we absolutely should win. The problem is that Philly got Arizona instead of LA, Pittsburgh instead of Cincy, NO instead of Tampa Bay and they get GB, Jacksonville and Tennessee all at home. We are literally their toughest road game all year.

Just my opinion about QB having seen Rush on TV and in person. He's very much playing the Steve Beuerline role (Very good backup QB for those of you non old people).

But he's no Dak. There are certainly games where Dak has played worse than Rush had played. But there are plenty of games where Dak has been amazing and done things Rush cannot.

Point being, I'm glad we have Rush but looking forward to Dak returning.

This run so far as been more of an affirmation of the moves made this offseason. The OL looks stronger which helps the run games which helps the pass game. Meanwhile, the defense looks great. Yeah we lost Gregory but we added Fowler and Barr and we got Lawrence, Bohannon, Hill and Gallimore back from injury.

Cowboys seem better overall with Rush at QB. I enjoyed watching him today.

Yes and they mentioned the defense considers him the most important member on D. Dude can hit.

They've simplified the offense for Rush and it has made a big difference. Wish they would do the same for Dak.

The Cowboy's defense has not allowed 20 points to a team yet. It will be interesting to see how that goes against the Rams next week.

On the other side, Dallas has not scored more than 25 points in a game.

It's starting to look like we may see alot of ugly wins this year. I'm OK with that but hopefully the offense will continue to improve and hit their stride at the right time toward the end of the season.

The bolded probably has a lot to do with the conservative offensive gameplan. They are really focusing on the run this season. The encouraging thing is that they seem to be hitting the passes when they need them. I've been pretty impressed with some of the throws Rush has made. Unlike most backups(captain check downs), he actually tries to push things down field.

My optimistic hope, is that we keep similar playcalling when Dak comes back. With that combined wtih the big upgrade at Qb, should be pretty formidable

After watching tonight, the Rams look very beatable. The offense couldn't score a TD and their OL is banged up which is not a good thing against the Dallas pass rush. Doesn't hurt the Rams have a short week after MNF. I like the Cowboys chances in this one.

The rams are frauds. Their o line is awful, they have no weapons outside of Kupp, something isn't right with Stafford, and they aren't deep on defense. It's the NFL, so it'll be a tough, tough game. But the Cowboys should win this.

I wouldn't call them frauds, but they certainly had a plan to go all in and they got their Super Bowl. But 6 months later and it's time to pay the Piper!

Their loss of draft capital and careless spending was never intended to be sustainable.

Based on comments coming into the season about Stafford's elbow, it sounds like he's on the verge of needing Tommy John surgery. Red flags in how they were describing it and how they were rehabbing it with a program used for MLB pitchers. Unless it's bone chips (which this isn't), a frayed UCL that will ultimately need to be replaced via TJ surgery is the injury MLB pitchers have

It'll be interesting to see how much we can get Diggs on Kupp. That guy had 19 targets last night. Diggs gets at least 2 picks in that scenario right?

Kupp is literally their only offensive weapon.

It's not like they don't have some other guys including a pretty decide TE. I think Stafford just get tunneled in on his favorite guy. Didn't he do the same in Detroit when they had megatron?

Doesn't Kupp normally line up in the slot. Not saying Diggs can't line up against him in the slot, but think Rams can move him around making it hard to keep the best CB on him.

Would you rather Parsons mark Higbee out of the game in the passing game or going after Stafford?

I'm curious if the issue with his elbow has to do with all of the side armed throws he's done over the years.

Kupp 100% moves around. We did the same thing with CD on Sunday... moved him and got a LB lined up against him. Resulted in a quick slant that went for 30 or 40 yards. That's what they do with Kupp all the time.

To answer the other question... we need to send Micah and all the dudes after Stafford all game long!

Possibly. He's also a 34 year old dude who threw 740+ passes last year when he has usually been around 550 going back to his mid 20s. That arm got a LOT more work than it has been used to, and it's an older arm now

ESPN is always good for a laugh and the NFL Power Rankings did not disappoint.

1) Chiefs
2) Bills
3) Eagles
4) Packers
5) Dolphins
6) Rams
7) Vikings
8) Bucs
9) Ravens
10) Bengals
11) Cowboys

The narrative this morning was that the Cowboys haven't beaten anybody and yet the Bengals are right there. IMHO the Rams aren't a Top 10 team any more, the Eagles are not Top 5 and the Ravens are overrated.

The teams that I currently have a problem with are the Rams and the Bengals. I think both teams have looked mediocre at best, and have major, major flaws. In response to your post specifically, I think the Ravens are very good. Their offense is one of the best in the NFL, and while their defense has been poor, they haven't been healthy. Baltimore also has a good history on defense and I believe they will figure it out.

My view of Top 10
A+ Tier: Chiefs, Bills, Bucs
A Tier: Ravens, Eagles, Bengals (Burrow + his weapons is always a threat)
B+ Tier: Cowboys, Chargers, 49ers, Miami

I think Cowboys could easily move up to A tier depending on how they look with Dak back.
