Have you read this thread? There are plenty of folks in this thread who proposed just that.

The simplest explanation has always been that Waltz had him as a contact as he was probably a source for a previous story and being a technically illiterate fool accidently add him to the conversation.

People are being played and because he is on "their team" they refuse to see it. Hell even the tweet you liink admits this but still feeds the need to attack Goldberg as a defense mechanism.

Omg NO IT DIDNT. This is why I accused you of not reading the article because it did no such thing. The ONLY thing that Reuters article did was state that Waltz asked Wong to put together a 'tiger team' list. That was the totality of Wong's involvement per that article. You either didn't read it or you extrapolated the words on the screen to mean that Wong created the Signal group chat and/or invited Goldberg himself (NEITHER of which happened because WONG DIDNT HAVE ACCESS TO THE CHAT).

Mistakes were made. The administration learned. The mission was 100% successful. Trump and the American public have moved on. Continued efforts by the left to damage Trump/Hegseth with this are getting pretty lame.

What was really learned? They learned to add journalists to a group chat? They learned that Signal is not a proper communication channel? They learned they are required to save communications? They learned there are no consequences?

I don't believe it reflected poorly on Trump, but it did the other two, and I believe they both now have two strikes in Trump's mind - he was allegedly asking for opinions on what he should do with both of them.

ETA: I also believe a good chunk of the approval rating comes from the belief that Trump/DOGE are doing a good thing that will help our financial situation….and the border. That's where my approval comes from at least.
