So much winning...as long as you're not invested in the S&P500, here on a student visa, planning on purchasing a car, or employed by any federal agency. Then ya, you're winning with all the things.

Yes, this is winning. You don't get to come here as a guest and foment violence and terror (well, you do if lying lefties are in charge of the government):

Gotcha, so all those students here on visas were fomenting violence and terror. We just accept that as a fact because the twitter told us. No concern over free speech rights here!

LOL, we have 1.5 million people here on student visas. 20 of them are being removed.

If you have evidence that disputes the US Government's claim about these students, please post it. This is not just some Twitter post, its a report on official action being reported by the US Government.

Your free speech statement is a strawman.

So right….we keep comparing our actions to complete trash humans. They have no footing to say anything. It truly doesn't matter what any of the MSM or dem politicians say and the voters know this. Just take the moral high ground and mess up all day while moving forward making the country better. If your mess ups get annoying enough Trump will dump you. My opinion, Hegseth and Waltz don't last longer than 12-18 months.

It also said "hundreds" of other visas are now under review. THAT SOUNDS GREAT!

And to be clear, they haven't posted any form of evidence. If you're going to revoke 20 people's visas for violating the law, the burden of proof is on the Government, not me. You blindly accepted that tweet at face value that these individuals are 'terrorists.'

I haven't seen Rubio deport anyone who did not deserve to be deported thus far. So of course they get the benefit of the doubt. If you have evidence to the contrary, please present it. The burden of proof is on you in this thread to show otherwise since you are the one whining and complaining in this thread that it is not right.

If they are wrongly detained, and weren't promoting violence, etc. they will have their day in court. Just like the MS13 etc that can claim habeas corpus.

Not to mention, visas, green cards etc are easily revoked, and then you are here illegally and are subject to deportation.

So many on this thread have shown that they are no different than what they claim their "enemies" to be. It is funny how so many people want to reference the Biden Administration ineptness as if it somehow excuses their own. Both are wrong. Be better than them.
Spare us the faux moral outrage and disingenuous enlightened grandstanding. We are at war with the left. They have set the rules of engagement for decades. Now that the shoe is on the other foot they cry for fair play.

This was a mistake. It happens. Trump and his team will fix it and move on. But there is zero need to capitulate to the whiners on the left and give them their pound of flesh because as soon as that happens they will move on to demanding someone elses head on a platter. Screw that. The mistake has been acknowledged and it's time to fix it and put the full focus back on saving this country. If a few plates get broken along the way, so be it. Get on board or shut up and get out of the way.

I think Pete is probably a cool guy to hang out with, we share the same faith, and we would be friends. I think he would be great in many capacities within DoD. I don't believe he is qualified to be in the position he is in and I don't believe he will last long in the position. It's incredibly complicated and he will continue to make missteps until Trump has had enough with dealing with cleanup on aisle 9 with him.

What have they been dishonest about? Did not Waltz admit he messed up? Yes, many involved have been defensive, but they are being attacked relentlessly, not for accountability purposes or to help them fix the problem, but solely for political retribution and to slow down the president's agenda.

Maybe a different response would have been refreshing to some, but they need to get over it. We don't have time to pander to people that are actively trying to undermine this administration and the job the American public overwhelmingly elected them to do.

THIS.

Also, what not following is since it is Waltz or his staffers that made the error (if it wasn't a setup) why is it Hegseth's fault even theoretically other than in the `ultimate responsibility' sense? And the latter doesn't rate much action given both the non-impact but only warning of the mistake and the precedents set by the critics and what they excused before. (The Scott Jennings points)

What is really amiss is yes, the more simple gripe about just say it -- there is nothing here that is worth alot of stonewalling or ducking about. Its just a screw up that had no consequences. Those are far and away the best kind of screw up -- because if acted on immediately, as if it had been a disaster, and the procedures revised to prevent it, you come out ahead.

Before taking the job:
- a few personal indiscretions that I don't need to go into. I'm assuming he grew from all of it as a person.

After taking the job:
Minor: his speech to the UN stating Ukraine membership was off the table. Not his lane and he had to be reminded as such. He later came back and stated he would not be involved in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

Minor consequence, major lapse in judgment: this deal. For those that have been a part of military operations, it showed a sort of odd lack of maturity. SECDEFs and military leaders don't hang out in a chat room during an op. Him providing those updates, regardless of classification served no purpose.

I don't believe he has done enough to be fired yet - just making a prediction. Log it! What else are we all hanging out on TexAgs for if we're not taking some interesting positions? I'll be happy to admit I was wrong. It's really not a hard thing to do.

Yes, removing agitators is great. Kudos to Rubio. That doesn't mean there isn't a clown show happening in other areas. Seems people are viewing each other as being defined by only two choices, your all in on everything this administration is doing and do not criticize or question anything and believe every single thing said...or you are a dem, a leftist, liberal, the enemy, etc.
The administration is definitely doing many things right and with good intent. But to overlook the major SNAFU's and buy into their gaslighting is to essentially bow down to the government...something that as a conservative I do not believe it. We've actually reached a place where some conservatives are afraid to criticize the government...their reasons vary, but their trust is implicit.

Wrong. It was two hours...but even if it was 23 minutes, if that info had gotten into the wrong hands, Houthis could have responded and Americans could have died. The fact that people are even defending this egregious screw up that we would never accept from any other administration shows you what this administration already knows and is betting on...that there is a group of supporters who will believe absolutely anything they say and deny any criticisms or facts that are counter to what they are saying. I think it's an indictment of where we are at as a country when colossal failures are simply ignored or dejected simply because political opponents have done the same or worse. Shouldn't the bar be to set a higher standard? This goes back to Trump at the end of the day and the lack of competent people in his cabinet (the same problem he faced first term when they all quit), Rubio being the only one actually qualified.

True in some aspects. That's where this comes in:

Its no exaggeration have found some aspects of the follow-up far more annoying than the error.

HOWEVER, what you are also seeing is that many are being careful to not too hastily enable or support faux outrage from the definite dishonest enemy of the DNC/MSM clique. That's more the kind of reaction you see Scott Jennings embodying and that is very real too (share it).

It's a deflection tactic, first they issued blame on Goldberg, then they said it wasn't classified, then they moved to Afghanistan withdrawal, now they're on "nobody cares it's time to move on". The final step will be that this is another Russian hoax campaign to bring down the administration

What is needed is a balance. Ignore point blank the faux manufactured complains of the MSM-DNC clique, do not fire or changes things on basis of any of their demands. At the same time, privately, internally, chew out or fire for incompetence any such that may genuinely be if honest inquiry shows the errors are really egregious rather than "inertial'.

By "inertial" I mean despite the hand-wave offs, it matters greatly if the comm setup is how "has always been done since 2014 or whenever" --- because mistakes that come from inherited inertia are more subtle. They can only be found by complete revision of all when coming in; something usually not done. That's why it goes back.

its not even blame. Its from not having changed how things were done. It doesn't matter if *that* was dumb -- because if its inherited it still has inertia till re-examined. Military doctrine is a good example of this when its not re-vamped. Internal political procedures are if anything more haphazard and not thought out.
