Do you not understand the difference between republican primary voters in Iowa versus the general do election where everyone votes?
Do you understand that if Desantis couldn't persuade gop voters he wasn't getting the crossover vote?

No, I don't because that's completely illogical. Persuading a MAGA wing is nowhere near the same as peeling off true swing voters.
Ok so Ron doesn't appeal to GOP voters but he will swing voters? ok dude
He appeals to GOP voters immensely, it's just bad timing. Some of us recognize that there's a culture war to be won first and Trump is better suited to fight it. Once the culture war is won, policy masters such as DeSantis will be needed more. Having DeSantis over the Senate (VP) makes Trump/DeSantis a dream team.
So Trump will tell Jenner stop using the ladies restroom and go to the men's room where he belongs?
He'll position it as a states rights issue as it should be. You know, use the constitution as it's intended.
You have a link to him saying that. I mean he's totally states right on the abortion issue as well.

I know Trumpers are new to this whole politics thing, but you do understand those are two different populations right?
lol I saw my candidate win a presidential election in 2016 and you? I also know the coveted swing vote is not really that big and is generally overstated, most people know who they are voting when they walk in the booth.

Cool. What happened with those swing voters in 2020 after they got 4 years of Trump's clown show?

2) and thanks to Trump they don't have to worry about the issues and get to make the election 100% about "Orange Man Bad! Look at all the legal charges against Bad Orange Man!"

DeSantis endorsed Trump, but this helps Nikki as well.

Now it's a two-person race, and many Never-Trumpers who were supporting DeSantis will just as likely go to Nikki as they will - albeit while hiding their noses - Trump.

Regardless, Biden and the Dems could not be happier because DeSantis was the biggest threat to Biden getting a second term.

Nikki will be a threat, to a degree, and Trump, well, maybe in Trump's and maga's mind, but to the left, not so much.

Current polling simply doesn't support this notion…

In fact…of the three options, DeDantis was polling the worst against Biden…

I know you aren't being serious, but Trump wouldn't sign it as a move to signal he is an outsider. It is shallow but on his message point.
So, the only person in the race that has ever been POTUS is an outsider?

Quick news flash for you…

DeSantis doesn't drop out so quickly if his internal polling didn't match, or was worse than, independent polling services…

I've suspected for awhile that his internal polling in Iowa closely matched that of the RCP average…

He gambled on one state, one big splash, and it failed…

But make no mistake, he's not dropping out because polling is lying and his internal polls can prove polling is lying…

Policy doesn't matter to the left. If it did, people in San Fran, LA, Manhattan etc would be waking the F up and changing their ways. But they continue to double down.

Throw logic out the window in this failing experiment we call "America".

Trump energizes the left to go vote like no other GOP candidate ever has. I trust polls as much as I trust the CDC.

I say this as someone who will begrudgingly vote Trump in the general.
